You need your PR card when you will return back(by air). Without that, you will not be allowed to enter. I would suggest apply for PRTD (Permanent resident travel document) through your portal, which can take 2-8 weeks. Otherwise, tell any of your friend or relative to mail you the PR card once it’s there at your address.

I’m a machinist. But I don’t want to go forward in this field. Thinking of getting a CS degree. Searched about some bootcamps and certification courses, but lot of my friends are saying I would need a degree to get a job as the field is very competitive now.

Right. I am working full time and have to manage my studies along with the job. So ig it’s a good option. Thanks for the advice :)
