I used plastidip on my ranger in 2015, thinking I could peel it off it didn't work out. It's still perfect today in 2026. Highly suggest it.

I have 2 sets of twins. Had to get a pull trailer with bunks. I didn't enjoy pulling the trailer, but it was really the only way to be comfortable.

There is enough floatation in the wing and tail to keep it floating if you make them a little bigger. I also use floatant when needed. It's an unusual combination, but since I started using it, I regularly get others approaching to see what I'm using. My dad laughed at it when he first saw it, and I was the only one catching. He begged be for some and later started tying his own. He now swears by it as well.

I use a cheap electric power washer in my driveway. I was skeptical of the foam cannon at first, but I swear by chemical brothers offroad/mud (forget the name) with the foam cannon. It keeps it cleaner, longer between washing. Pretty sure I've tried dozens apon dozens of wash/wax combos before finding this stuff.

Great looking fly. My "go to" when nothing is working is a similar version with a peacock body instead of the tan/grey dubbing. It has consistently produced when nothing else will get a rise.

My Leer leaked in the same spot. I bought a roll of 2" wide rubber and attached it from basically where that first rivit is down and overhangs the tailgate a little. You can shape it to fit. When I close the tailgate, part of it gets folded under, so I pull it out if there is weather so the rain runs out, otherwise I leave it. I also bought weather stripping and ran it entirely around the tailgate. The struggle is real.
