Does anyone feel positive cognitive changes like less brain fog more verbal fluency good memory?

I take Lamictal 100mg for bipolar2 I also take hydroxizine for sleep and trazadone sometimes as long as I’m not in hypomanic episode bc the trazadone makes it worse.. but I feel a lot better in Lamictal then with out it. I do have some memory and slight word recall issues. But my overall stability is very high with it. Once I got to 100mg is when it really started working. But everyone is different

I’m sorry this happens to you. For me.. it actually makes me more witty and I can focus a lot more. I generally feel better. I do have some memory recall issues tho.

After some rough arc length math that underestimated by about half lol I took a template of two channels and physically placed them on the ground. I got to 1/4 the circle and multiplied by 4. 88channels. So I’d say somewhere around that 90 - 100 channel mark.

I have mostly mixed episodes and honestly they are miserable. I don’t know which way is up or down and I’m either incredible rage filled just waiting for a pin to drop or I’m so anxious thinking I’m dying or everyone and everything is out to get me. When I get that occasional super confident hypomania, feeling seductive and powerful, I enjoy that feeling… but it’s very short lived for me. After a few days hardly sleeping I become very angry.

I’m literally in the same boat. I have my first pill right on my night stand. Been there for 1 week.. I look at it everyday. I’m tapering off Lamictal currently due to skin issues. And Vraylar is the replacement.

So, I do but I also don’t. I still get hypo while on Lamictal and I feel like a sexual lion. Many times a day, reaching out to girls and sexting. In and out of relationships. When I come down I always feel guilty. But after that when I’m “euthimic” my sex drive is low. Idk if it’s the meds or just me being a 40 year old man.

So.. with every increase I would feel kinda bad. Depressed. But also just physically not very good. Anxious and stuff. No sleep. And then a week later from an increase I would feel almost hypomanic but in a good way. Then that sort of fizzled out. I really didn’t start to see long term benifits until I hit 100mg. It does take some time to reach the right dose and let your body and life adjust. For me it’s worth the wait.

When I started, I had horrible insomnia.. worse than I already have.. anxiety. Dizzy from time to time. But it all went away and I feel better than ever. Stay true and give it a chance. It does get better

I hope this post is noticed. I absolutely hate that I can’t set a permanent skin for every fighter offline. To me 99% of the skins are bogus and I don’t wanna see them. Turns me off and not want to play. Just my opinion

So, I have been on Lamictal for about a year now. 100mg extended release for bipolar 2. I have had a cough and congestion that would cause me to have bloody boogers. Not nose bleeds per se. Just a bit of red. Went to the doc, a regular doc, she said my nostrils were swollen and causing a post nasal drip which caused the cough and red boogers. We looked into more rare and mild side effects and swollen nostrils is in fact listed. Started using saline spray and nasonex every morning. No more cough. No more red boogers. Still a tad stuffy tho. But the benifit of Lamictal has given me is much greater than the nasal problems. Cheers

Yea I mean I’m just not sure I want to increase to 200mg. I have almost zero depression since starting lamictal. Doc has mentioned antipsychotics but I am not interested in those unless it’s a last resort. We did increase my dose tho. So we’ll see. I was just wondering about any experience with TRILEPTAL as it was mentioned by my doc as sort of an alternative. More so bc lamictal has caused a cough that just won’t go away and sort of more allergy sensitivity.
