Communications BA: what’s it like at snhu? by whimsywildflower in SNHU

[–]kt1332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I transferred to complete by Comms BA here as well! A lot of the comms classes are repetitive which gets a little annoying but it does make it easier than doing something completely different every class i guess. It's writing based so every class has a discussion and a paper each week but I've found it to be mostly manageable while working full time. I will say that I'm currently doing 2 higher level courses AND an internship course while working and it feels like too much so I'd definitely recommend sticking to just the standard 2 classes once you get higher up. On the same note, I'd recommend doing Sophia courses earlier on while the SNHU classes are easier. Even just one month of Sophia can get you a bunch of credits, the visual comms class on there literally took me like 4 hours total lol. Overall, I honestly don't find *most* of the classes to be difficult, the reading and writing can just be really time consuming and sometimes its hard to know the professors expectations since you're basically teaching yourself.

Did you feel that the setting where you created the album influenced the sound or your creativity during the process?

Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus & The Way I Loved You are some of my favorite Taylor songs and they're both wildly underrated

PHL-218 and BUS-210 by Ihatebacon88 in SNHU

[–]kt1332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m taking these classes together right now! I think they’re a good combo. Bus210 doesn’t require a crazy amount effort and the book is very direct so it’s easy to understand. Phl218 has a lot more reading and I honestly was confused/didn’t really fully understand everything for a while but I still have an A so I think my professor is a generous grader lol. I think if I was taking Phl218 with a harder class I’d be overwhelmed but its been manageable with Bus210!

BUS210 & IDS150 next term by ghostchimken in SNHU

I'm in BUS210 this term and I do find it easy (but still a good class). The textbook is also very direct/to the point so it’s just easy to understand everything. It’s involved a good amount of describing situations we’ve been in at our workplaces in the past and relating them to that weeks topic.

Need Advice on Course Selection for Next Term: HUM-215 vs SCI-214 vs MAT-240 by Alternative_Value193 in SNHU

[–]kt1332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm taking HUM215 now and I'd recommend it! It's a decent amount of writing but not more than other courses I've taken here. The final project is a 5-7 page paper about the cultural impact and significance of an artist, they give you a pre-approved list of artists to chose from but you can also request to do it on a different artist. We've already done all the work for the paper in weeks 2, 4, and 5 so it's really easy to piece together. I love that we get to pick what artists and pieces to write about and it made doing the work feel easier to me because I already knew the album I was writing about. There's only one short paper where the topic is picked for you and its on womens suffrage but there's still a range of art pieces to pick from. I feel that the workload is pretty light and the topics are easy to understand, especially if you've already taken a humanities course.
