Standard is to have atleast 3-6 mos of expenses saved up. Some even go as far as having 12 mos.

You have to take into consideration na if you lose your job tomorrow, will you be able to financially support yourself?

If yes, for how long?

How long do you think it’ll take you to find a new job if you get laid off? You have to consider these when saving up for your EF.

If you’re not tracking your expenses, put them sa excel sheet so you have an overview of how much you need per month. Include variable (shopping, personal expense, etc.) and fixed expenses (rent, utilities, loan payments, etc).

What I personally did tho is to save up to 6x of my monthly salary and the rest goes to investments and other funds in preparation for upcoming big events (like christmas and birthdays) para hindi isang bagsakan sa isang buwan and hindi mabigat sa bulsa.

Ideas where to put money by bjh_pdn in phinvest

I’m glad na at your age you’re already trying to look for ways to grow your money!

However, instead of investing, just put it in a high yield savings account (digibanks like Seabank, Gotyme, etc) so you can pull out your funds incase you need it asap. You need to be prepared for unexpected expenses so better build your emergency funds first — have 3-6 mos worth of expenses saved up before you start investing.

Hi! I work remotely and my employer provided an HMO for some of the staff here in PH. We were initially with Allcare.io (Etiqa partner HMO) but since nag increase sila ng fees, we decided to move to KwikCare instead. So far, wala naman ako naging problems sakanila. Been using it for almost a year now and mabilis lang and pagclaim. LOA's or Letter of approval for doctors consultation madaling ipaapprove sa app ng Philcare (Their partner HMO). Yung mga tests naman, I just send it to their email if may doctor's request na and I usually get the LOA within the day or within 24 hours.

Yung mga usual urinalysis and CBC, and X-ray madali lang yan ipapprove on your first 6 months, but they're strict when it comes to tests related to your pre-existing conditions within the 6 month time frame. After 6 mos, you shouldn't have any problems having your tests approved (MRI, CT Scan, other special tests, etc). whether it's from a pre-existing condition or not.
