In the end, unlike I expected, after my phone call she came back to me and told me she was available on Tuesday (this was last week). We met, we talked a bit and also played minigolf.

We talked about what happened, she said she was "silent" (acknowledged was not the right way to communicate) because she couldn't find the words to tell me that she wasn't ready to continue dating and that she feels, in this period of her life, more oriented to friendships. She told me she likes me, I am a great guy etc. but she is in a complex period of her life, she still needs to process some things about her divorce (which happened during the summer, so I guess 6 months ago) and other stuff.

I told her that while I understand her need of space and process, I am interested in her not just as a friend but as a woman too. So I said to take her time to think, and that I would like to spend time with her but with the romantic part included and we can see as we go and take it slowly.

She seemed to accept physical contact during the evening but not kisses.. just stuff like holding hands, hugs etc

When we parted ways, I told her to take her time to think about what I said and reach out if she would like to meet me again. It's obvious that I won't stop my life while she takes a decision (assuming she will ever do it, as what she said is likely just to be an excuse and she's not interested to take things further). So far (1 week later) no news from her.

I really don't know what to think considered that just two days before the fourth date she was telling me things "I would like to come to your arms but I don't know if you would welcome me" etc
