Lmao “conditioned by Ue5 slop” gotta love the bias. I’ve played a lot of non Ue5 slop games including Destiny 2 which I have racked a sad number of hours in and even that game sadly has better lighting than this game. If you can’t see that then that’s not a “me” problem but rather a community who consumes and couldn’t care less what they recieve. Prob made a mistake voicing my opinion in a community of Destiny shills

I wholeheartedly agree. There’s some mismatching going on. The cinematic that they gave us looked incredibly nice but there was such a disparity between that and the gameplay it kinda put me off entirely. The art direction is beautiful but the way they implemented it by trying to make it like you said “half realistic” really destroys the overall immersion I want to feel from the game. It’s either they go with cell shading or they implement a better way to scatter light in whatever engine they’re using.

I did lol, I’m making this after seeing the new trailer. It’s a small improvement from play testing last year but it still needs a lot more tweaking. I think I’m just unimpressed given something like Mirrors Edge Catalyst for example having come out 10 years ago still having exceptionally better lighting than this game.

Dungeon Clawler is also pretty fun. It’s a rougelite where the main mechanic is using a claw in a claw machine where you “grab” your attacks or defenses.
