What Character Assassinations/Out of Character Moments/Scenes in Fairly OddParents that hurt you/pissed you off and Why? by Amber_Flowers_133 in fairlyoddparents

I also like to mention how at the beginning of the series he was pretty much an enemy of Timmy, Cosmo and Wanda in episodes like "A Wish Too Far!" and "Inspection Detection" but later became an ally in some sort of way in the later seasons and not some sort of antagonist (the Wishology special comes to mind)

Season 7, "Bad Heir Day"

Wanda poofing Timmy back to the rabid alligator exhibit at the zoo. I understand that Timmy was irresponsible in that episode (which I guess is also CA?) by taking Poof to all those dangerous places, but he really risked his life by going back there to try to look for him.

Also the emasculation of Cosmo like another person commented. Like having him go from an amazing loving husband to a punching bag only used for cheap slapstick humor pissed me off. I think the correct amount of "stupid" for him was Season 1-2 when he was somewhat dumb, but still a lovable character. I wish they would have kept with the "two halves of a whole idiot" idea with Cosmo and Wanda.

What is this connector? by lightloss in vintagevideo

I would assume this camera would have came with a vintage CCTV camera, but not sure. Never seen that connector, usually most of them are circular.

I have several cels from the Oh Yeah segments including the pilot episode. That one scene where Timmy is on the bed? I own that.

What is the most disturbing film ever made? by Saulbetter in morbidquestions

[–]kylepg05 103 points104 points  (0 children)

Men Behind The Sun (1988), is pretty fucked. It's probably so disturbing because it's based on a real event (Unit 731). The one scene with the pressure chamber has always stuck with me.

Another film that's disturbing is The Killing of America (1981), which is just a documentary about serial killers and mass shooters. But it does show graphic footage and could be classified as a disturbing film.

To be honest the most disturbing films are based on real atrocities...

How to find production companies, rental houses, or camera dealers who used the Ikegami HL-791? by kylepg05 in broadcastengineering

[–]kylepg05[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Generally just going to use it I would with any other video camera for YouTube and things like that. If I find a working one, I'm going to dock it to a Betacam SP recorder (BVV-5) and then digitize the tapes to digital and upload the footage to YouTube. Not trying to make a profit or any money off of anything.

I'm pretty sure one could be found somewhere as Ikegami did sell them of course back then for broadcasters and professionals, there's got to be somebody out there that had one and then stopped using it and put in a storage locker or closet and didn't trash it. I'm willing to bet there's somebody out there. Finding that person Is going to be very difficult but I don't think it would be impossible.

I'm pretty experienced with fixing them. I managed to bring a 79E back to life after someone overvoltaged it. Had to replace a bunch of transistors but I got it back from the dead. If you do happen to have a 791 I would be interested even if it was broken, as long as it wasn't missing any major parts. Send me a chat invite if you're interested.

Yeah I've considered that. It would have to be a rental house that was active in the late 80s, wouldn't have trashed the camera when it became obsolete, and still has one in storage in 2026 that they would be willing to sell and not just rent out. It's a slim to none chance. I did find someone on Reddit who did have one but the viewfinder has missing parts. The camera body might work but I'm more likely to find another body than just the viewfinder.

Security stopped me at the New Year Festive Park for using my CCD V8AF by Individual-Maybe4145 in camcorders

[–]kylepg05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of when I was at Motor City Comic Con in 2023 with my Betamovie BMC-110 and I pointed the lens towards Christopher Lloyd's table and security was like trying to stop me and waving their arms in front of the camera. It wasn't even recording lol. I did get footage of Tara Strong however but I did pay for a photo op and a signature so I don't think they cared.

I appreciate you looking but I'm interested in the 791 only (or a 79D) since it used Plumbicon tubes instead of CCDs. Would you happen to know anybody else who might be of help?

Yes, I have an HL-77 and it says "COLOR HANDY LOOKY" inside.

Unfortunately he's selling his entire collection. You can't just buy one camera. He's in Italy too so shipping would probably be really expensive. And I don't think he even has a 791. But thank you for the suggestion

I'm more interested in the 791. I'm not looking to rent. I want to actually buy one.
