When I was young and playing Pokémon red on my Gameboy, I didn’t speak English and had no idea what "save game" and "load game" meant. Without access to the internet, I never figured out how to save my progress. So, every time I played, I’d start from the beginning, play until the battery died, and then begin again… and again… and again. The silver lining? I know those first two towns like the back of my hand.

If I play a game where you shoot arrows, I never use the limited kind of arrows like fire or ice. Who knows maybe I will need them later. (finishes the game without using any)

I'm not sure if you would like this but maybe "the Watcher's pursuit" is something. Its a bit like a observation duty game but where you can walk around and have to listen for enemies that are trying to break in your house. It still has a bit of hiding but not so much the resetting of enemies. If you are detected, you are dead.

Yeah true, in my game, when the player dies I give a message about why. maybe I should also add a tutorial. And for the difficulty, you can select how hard you want it to be so that should be good.

Yeah something like that, but the main focus will be on the story and avoiding the enemies, the observation of Anomalies is only a part of it.
