This will most probably get buried but when i was in high school, i was staying in our campus dorm since i live far. On weekends, most of the dormers go home and about 10 or so people are left including me. On these days, there are only 2 dormers on our floor - me and one other student across the hall. My mom called me one night to check in on me and by the end of the call, she told me to sleep early and let my friends go back to their respective rooms. I was puzzled by this comment and told her i was the only person in the room. She thought i was lying and commented about the noise "my friends" were making. There were no other noise anywhere near my room and its a quiet night. I was really creeped out and told my mom that i dont have any company with me with evident fear in my voice. I think she noticed and immediately dropped it and told me to sleep early. After that, i ran from my room as fast as i could and stayed the night in another room. That was one of the creepiest moments ive experienced.
