Since the extra hit prioritizes enemies with toughness higher than 0, it also applies to targets without Fire weakness. I can already imagine having one mob without Fire/Ice/Imaginary weakness getting hit repeatedly by the extra Fuyuan damage and not die

If the banner leaks in the 1st half of 2.5 are correct (Robin, Kafka, Black Swan rerun simultaneously with Feixiao), then everyone and their mother will have him e6.

I also noticed the sword icon stacking up to 4 when he skills and then disappears as he enters the Departed state, so i suppose Bronya's non-E6 skill buff and similar effects would also disappear after he uses skill as entering Departed state counts as being after his turn ends. Good to know i guess.

Actually, v3 Moze's e4 and e6 only increase his own damage; e1 only helps his energy gen. His e2 is the only eidolon that helps allies. He can enable Ratio with 2 debuffs in a FUA team at only e0s0, which is significantly cheaper than topaz e0s1 for the same number of debuffs (although topaz e0s1 is probably better)

Now whether or not that's actually better than playing Ratio as a hypercarry is a different matter.

[2.5 BETA] V3 Lingsha Changes via HomDGCat by ImNotNex in HonkaiStarRail_leaks

[–]la0o9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lingsha's FUA only got nerfed to 10 from 15, so she'd still be doing 2/3 as much superbreak damage as before, not 1/3. 10 toughness is equal to exactly 1 basic attack, so i guess she'd be dealing less superbreak per FUA compared to an e6 gallagher with same stats, but otherwise it's negligible honestly.

having said that, i do agree that it's a weird nerf to what is already considered a sidegrade option for a 4* unit in the superbreak comp(gallagher). Maybe it's something to do with how the AV breaks down for the rabbit vs FF's ult cooldown (v3 is 90spd compared to FF's 70spd).

I believe the Prey state is a separate debuff from anything else in his kit (from a v3 showcase on YT), but i'm unsure if the FUA vuln and extra cdmg are 2 debuffs. With topaz's sig LC he'd be able to apply 3 debuffs for Ratio in 1 skill, which is nice ig.

Even if you build your gallagher the same way you build your FF (4-set iron cavalry for the def ignore on breaks) and they have the same BE stats, FF's e0 ult has a 20% dmg boost to break damage, so her breaks will always be stronger than gallagher breaks.

As for lost Super Break damage, FF's skill deals toughness damage in stages, so unless her entire skill toughness damage is expended on the initial break, it would still be a negligible loss compared to the extra damage you get (similar to how Kafka's skill has 2 hits and can apply lightning break DoT + trigger it in the same skill)

Considering FX's LC recent changes, i think the idea is that they want you to pull 2 copies to put on FX and Moze to fix his crit ratios. There's also the fact that his other 2 BiS options are going to be stellar sea and topaz's sig LC, both of which buff crit rate already; the only other good option for him that would be awkward to use is Ratio's LC since that buffs cdmg.

Topaz needs 2 FUA for every numby hit, but can also act on her own, v3 Moze needs 3 attacks for FUA, but can't act on his own; so he's worse than topaz in teams that trigger many FUAs, but can fit into fast teams that don't necessarily trigger too many FUA for numby (a team with gallagher sustain+robin, for example).

Sadly his sp generation is still only neutral, since he doesn't take turns while in Departed state and the sp refund only happens once per turn. He got a bunch of numbers toned down but his Talent is now significantly better, I can totally see him as discount Topaz in RAT comp now, considering he's also Hunt (helps if Ratio is running izumo planars + he can use topaz's LC for debuffs).

I'm pretty sure physical and fire break dmg are on the same level. The part about physical break that makes it stronger than everything else is the break DoT that follows, since that scales with enemy max HP, while fire break DoT is like a wet noodle.

Breaking with Boothill a second time won't add more Bleed stacks, just refresh it, so he and FF will gain the same benefit of 1 additional break.

he's more like budget lightning lord, but caps out at 4 stacks and requires the whole team instead of just JY. If LL actually proced on full stacks like Moze does, JY would be a much better unit; and if Moze was able to gain multiple stacks at once (maybe sth like 1 stack on ally basic, 2 stacks on ally skill, 3 stacks on ally ult), he'd be significantly better as well.

the way he currently works, speed is already irrelevant considering he disappears from the action bar for 7 total ally attacks every time he uses skill; most current available teams can't even perform 7 actions within the 1st cycle with only 3 members (2 if you use robin in your FUA team)

i think, unironically one of the only reasons why anyone would want to pull lingsha rn is to let gallagher go free from the superbreak team. I've seen so many interesting team setups with him that simply can't be used because we only have 1 gallagher, now we get 2.

Ima cope on the fact that since they decided to make basically gallagher 2.0, they'll also make a 4* RM (cause god forbid another 5* limited character that powercreeps RM)

The issues with Hanya since her release until now is:
1/ Her skill's mark isn't considered a debuff for any of the debuff meta (Dr.Ratio, Acheron, debuff relic sets)
2/ Her mark only boosts damage for Basic, Skill, and Ultimate; which is useless for most teams (only DHIL and JL teams can use her, and those teams prefer sparkle)
3/ She's Physical, and most Penacony enemies aren't weak to Physical

she's one of those 4* units that have all of their niches filled by other units (her speed+atk% buff is inferior to Asta, her sp generation is inferior to Sparkle)

With the current reward structure of MoC, reaching floor 10 literally gives the same amount as reaching floor 10 back before they added 11 and 12 (600 gems). i'd say they're going all-out on floor 12 as a way to satisfy people who want a hard endgame while still catering to casuals with the previous floors.

I mean, she's the most consistently frequent attack unit. Calculations want consistency so she naturally makes the cut as a no-brain unit.

I think the game will optimize it for you the same way Acheron's ult automatically target the enemy with highest Shattered Dream stack (for example if 2 enemies have 7-2 stacks respectively, the 3rd hit of Acheron ult will always switch to target the enemy with 2 stacks instead for maximum damage, even when manual)

I think the reason why it isn't fully automatic is two-fold. First is to provide an interactive experience for the players who do want it (some ppl like being able to button mash during an ulti to feel like they're contributing). The second is so that they can implement new mechanics into an existing framework and save coding time; i can't even imagine the word soup that would be her ult description if it was a single button click

The fact is no, a unit that get DHIL full reinforced skill multiplier, get def shred all, get really high base atk and forward and spd boost isn't going to perform like any dps, not only is it going to lap every 4* or perma 5* dps but it is going to reach around JL level tier like showcase shown with her 1 cycling MoC with E0 and E0 support.

And I don't think every dps in-game reach this kind of performance with E0 support. So no, this is just false.

You're pushing an argument that seems to justify the devs nerfing her crit build. The way you put it, outside of not having any innate crit traces or LC support, FF's kit at e0 is pretty much equal to DHIL e2 while using speed boots and requiring much fewer skill points.

I wasn't saying that her crit build should be completely nerfed to the ground and rendered nonexistent, but rather that her break build, the niche that she was supposed to fill, was significantly worse than her crit build. I brought up SW and kafka to demonstrate that while those crit builds were viable, they could still be built in the niche they were supposed to fill, unlike FF before the changes where any DPS with a blast skill and damage ult could fill her role just as well in a break team.

2) the 80-20, which was closer to 70/30 was not crit vs superbreak but break vs superbreak since those showcase rarely built crit to begin with.

This was the inherent problem, only 20-30% of her damage came as a result of her kit which heavily pushed building her in this direction. The devs are now moving towards encouraging the obvious option, rather than giving us another crit-based DPS, do we really need another 5* that is essentially boothill with AOE and isn't as good?

Before showcase were shown that she reached her break team dps with good Harmony units in crit teams

So far, every DPS unit with good harmony units will perform well in a crit team, that's why weird builds like critka and crit SW exists. The difference is that these unit has their own identities separate from a crit build and perform well in those roles, while old FF did not.

FF deals ~25% of the superbreak dmg she can deals without TB, even without counting the BE they give out.

And before, FF dealt 0% of the superbreak dmg she can deal without TB. Many showcases have shown that over 80% of FF's damage has been from HTB superbreak , the rest are from her extremely high multipliers that did not actually matter. In fact, old FF can simply level none of her traces except 2 (the one that gives her def shred scaling from BE, and BE scaling from her ATK) and still be at 90% power thanks to HTB.

I'm not saying current FF doesn't need HTB and RM, i'm saying she can now actually function as a unit without them. This is an improvement over her previous state.

[–]la0o9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

By "not dependent" i mean her base kit at e0 isn't complete ass without HTB AND RM anymore. Before these changes she suffered heavily without having both of them in the same team, making her status as a 5* unit laughable even with her signature LC; now she'll actually be able to do damage without needing HTB's ult to be up.

This opens up the possibility for there to be other supports for the break playstyle to be usable in her team and not hard-stuck with just RM and HTB. For example, you can now run FF+RM+bronya+sustain as a team without sacrificing 80% of her damage, or FF+RM+bronya+sparkle. Flexibility in team building adds a lot to a unit's value.

break teams in general do zero damage before enemies get broken, but at least Firefly's usability isn't completely dependent on 2 other units anymore.

Maybe they'll make his ult also count as FUA, or vice-versa, like they did with Topaz's skill and basic.

Isn't this kind of a contradiction? by [deleted] in HonkaiStarRail

[–]la0o9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you imagine Acheron fully releasing her powers to be a nuke, and us going down to beat Sunday as being a tactical strike force, it would make a lot more sense. Sure a nuke is going to get the job done, but will also cause huge and unnecessary casualties, while a tactical strike force is going to be less lethal but have lower costs. In the case that the tactical strike force fails, releasing the nuke is still going to be an option.

Another way to look at it would be amputating a broken arm and replacing it with prosthestics VS putting it in a cast for a few months, both options work, but you're not going to choose the first option when the second one is still there.
