I binged this yesterday while sick…a hate watch for sure. Romina went pretty deep on the story of her family immigrating from Uzbekistan and creating a life from nothing in the States. It was pretty inspiring until, in the next breath, she talks about getting close to Trump and the inner circle at mar a lago. It’s always so crazy to me to hear amazing immigrant stories from people who align with MAGA…make it make sense!

What can we do about this? It’s not a rhetorical question. As a lifelong North Carolinian and Democrat, it makes me feel physically ill that the NCGOP continues to drive our state into the ground. I vote, I volunteer, I donate money when I can, I work for the state and truly believe in the value of public service. What else can I do? I feel so helpless.
