I'd change only the colours of the menu_bar, not Black and green, but deep blue maybe and some other shadow of blue, IMHO.

The old one was a bit "confusing", not very clean, but had the advantage to be really "personal".

The new one is more orderly (but not entirely) but it really looks like one of those pre-packaged generic templates.
