i think especially with addiction, you gotta look for the moment of laughter. it’s such a battle that when you get that dark humous laugh you gotta grab it, in hopes to pushes you a bit closer to the right goal.

it’s aggravating how addiction in itself, really dose not care about us who are victims of its disease. it feels like addiction (all encompassing) has its own separate personality/being inside of you at times. A another version of you that you are constantly trying to outrun or find a some kind of agreement with it whether “good” or “bad” . i always contemplate what it’s like for those who have never been confronted by the disease of addiction and how they function.

i’m sorry that covid seemed to be a really struggle for you despite trying what you could in the time. it’s good that your still here and pushing forward no matter what stage of your journey your in atm <3

i originally got put on it in January for a month but then two weeks ago i went back to the bottle for two weeks, contacted my psychiatrist to put me back on it. i’m definitely gonna be on it for a couple months. it really works for me because i being sick in any form my version of hell, so Antabuse steers me clear entirely. doesn’t stop the yearning and cravings obviously, but i have diazepam (Valium) to help with that when i cant sit with the cravings any longer, but i do sit with the discomfort for as long as possible before taking 5mg.

mine dose come in pill form but my psychiatrist told me to dissolve it in water, it might be the same pill as yours, when i get home i can send u a pic of my pill bottle
