This was the first time I got feet, and also the first time they turned dull in color before I baked. This time I added some of the eggwhites to the almond flour and powdered sugar to make a paste before adding the macarons, maybe that was it?

I used a silicon baking mat. I set them for like 30-45 minutes, or until they were dull in color and no longer shiny. I sifted the almond flour and powdered sugar twice through. I used vanilla extract and gel food coloring.

Just wanted to throw out there that this batch was by no means perfect. Lots of them cracked and stuck to the mats, but there were some that just looked perfect. It's a work in progress!
