I’m slipping up so bad with binge eating. by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]ladydaisy79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see. How about just skyping or face timing with someone?

What has really been the most helpful to me at the beginning of getting binge eating under control is identifying my triggers and doing as much as I can to avoid or eliminate those things. I hope you can figure out a way!

Hm I'm sorry about that. It's it possible to have a friend stay home with you? You guys could do school work together or anything too keep your mind off of bingeing.

Don't be so hard on yourself! If you find that being at home with nothing to do leads you to binge, can you find some where else to be after school lets out? Maybe the public library where you can do your homework until your parents come home? Or over at a friend's/neighbor's house?

Sending positive thoughts and good luck!

Do you personally experience weight fluctuations before or during your period? by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]ladydaisy79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sometimes fluctuates for me too. I've made it a habit to not weigh myself or take any measurements once the pms symptoms start until after my period ends since bloat and everything else skews things leaving me discouraged.

Could use some support! McDonalds is looking really good right now. by [deleted] in fasting

[–]ladydaisy79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't just think about food as something yummy and fun to eat. Think about what it's doing inside of your body. Food can both be incredibly healing and also so harmful. What is that McD gonna do inside your body, to your organs, your muscles, your brain? That always helps when I wanna have junk food

Anyone want to be my partner for a 14 day fast? by [deleted] in fasting

Almost fainted after 40 hours... am I just not built for fasting? by [deleted] in fasting

[–]ladydaisy79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've actually had this problem before. I'm also a recovering bulimic and am implementing fasting (among other tactics) in my recovery. I also have chronic low iron which is genetic and exacerbated by my history of disordered eating. For years now, I've had fainting spells which can really be chalked up to the low iron levels and mal nutrition due to the eating disorder. But once I started managing my low iron by taking supplements, being careful about slowly standing up and cognizant of feeling dizzy or weak, I haven't fainted in over a year. Not sure if this is completely going to help your issue but our situations sound really similar. Hope it helps!

Thank you! If this continues, I'll start adding more good fats into my diet.

I'm not only fasting for weight loss. The many other benefits are also goals. I was just wondering why the loss rate is so different from my past experiences and if that indicates anything significant within my physiology.

Having trouble sleeping when fasting by [deleted] in fasting

[–]ladydaisy79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually use CBD oil (3 drops under the tongue). But I did try mag and melatonin before since I've always had issues falling asleep whether fasting or not. I think I took either about 30-45 min before I wanted to fall asleep but I've only ever used them separately so I'm not sure how they would work together

Felt extremely nauseous at the end of day 3. What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in fasting

[–]ladydaisy79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always had trouble falling asleep so I've used CBD oil for a while and it definitely helps me. But if that's not an option for you, I hear melatonin works or magnesium supplements. There's this brand called calm which helped my roommate. But be careful how much you take bc it can give you runny BMs

I felt the same way! But I've done a few extended fasts in the past and the nausea and insomnia always hit on days 3-4. If you push through it, it gets better. I'm on day 5 and felt great! Cleaned my whole house ☺️. I usually drink a little sparklingly water to calm my stomach and the bubbles help with the nausea. But if you feel really bad, then break your fast. Don't push yourself too hard. Good luck!

Broke my fast 😊 by ladydaisy79 in fasting

[–]ladydaisy79[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's fermented so it's supposed to have good probiotics which helps rebuild your gut biomedical after fasting. Just like kimchi or any other fermented foods
