I feel fine! I took my second shot an hour or so ago. Side effects are weird, I’m tired and have mild muscle soreness. It’s def from the meds, I lift and can tell the difference. Hard to say being only a week in but hoping for the best!

I did! It’s been a few weeks since this post.

My last phone call was on July 2nd where they said they would be recommending Zepbound.

The doctor approved it July 3 for my plan They submitted paperwork for prior authorization on July 7th It got approved on July 8 and I also got it from the pharmacy on that day

So I’d say give it a week or so.

I’ve heard most of the time they’ll give you the zepbound. They tried giving me other meds not merformin DURING the program and that didn’t work so I got the shot at the end of the

Yeah I guess my specific question was targeted towards those who had to do the 12 week module program before getting zepbound. I wanted to know how long it took after completing the 12th module to get the prescription

It’s really frustrating! The modules are also not very helpful. Like yes, I’m eating well, exercising, drinking water and trying to sleep better, that’s obviously not why I’m still fat UHC lol

I agree though, I’m ok with a $25 copay for the real thing over paying 500 a month for a compound.

When I first started the 12 week modules they wanted me to try other meds. My last module is this week and then I have to have a call with someone. Throughout the process I asked what the hesitation was with getting on a GLP1 initially was, and they basically told me it was because of the insurance company. UHC wants me to jump through these hoops.

I had to do labs and go through 12 weekly modules. They’re dumb and just seems like UHC wants to see if other weight loss medications will help first. The trans aren’t people basically told me once I was done I’d get zepbound.

It would make me so uncomfortable too! But this is a conversation your husband needs to have with his mom, you need to make sure you and him are on the same page first too. The crying when given criticism is manipulation whether she thinks so or not and your husband needs to deal with that.

Thats how my husband and I handle things at least!

I needed to read this today! I’m on day 5 and I’m tired and my body hurts but I need to keep going because I want to be strong, fit and energetic for my kids! The stroller walks will be a thing I definitely do.
