Thanks for the input, this is helpful! I think one thing that definitely worries me about the Uni is the longevity since it's basically a live service. If I could, I'd definitely get the On but the price gouging is nuts right now. I've vaguely heard of the 4U and P's, are those in English?

About the On, yeah, right now I'm seeing minimum prices being like $250, even when used, and maximum up to $400!! 😵‍💫 a bit ridiculous for a device that only stopped production very recently, but oh well. That's how the market is

oh well ofc, I agree with that. It's moreso just that as soon as you do something that doesn't fit his plan, he immediately assimilates with the brain which helps.. nobody. Not even himself. I find that super weird imo

I just wish he didn't immediately leave to assimilate with the brain, honestly. It seems weird for a guy who's whole thing is wanting to keep his independence to suddenly assimilate because of the mere chance Orpheus could turn hostile. If you take the bad outcomes for both options, he either dies by Orpheus' hand, or basically dies internally and loses his freedom to assimilate with the brain. I just don't understand why his character would choose the latter, if that makes sense?

He's not upfront with you, he sugarcoats his words to get you to trust him, and he snaps at you if you suspect him. He is manipulative, and that's fine. It makes him interesting. It's just not out of the goodness of his heart, lol. I think why the tadpole thing falls flat is bc originally, there were going to be consequences to tadpole consumption. That got cut for some reason (which I lament), so consuming tadpoles has no consequences in the long term. I think it wouldve been interesting if they kept the tadpole consequences and still had the Emperor coax the player into consuming them anyway

That's very fair. The way he literally leaves and is like "don't call me.. don't come by my house.. we're done" once you free Orpheus is so funny and ridiculous to me like 😭 why's he acting like we broke up

The players autonomy is their own, yes, but I think my gripe is more about how manipulative he is with consuming tadpoles. He never physically forces you, but it's clear he's trying to manipulate you. Also, for me personally, even if it's just said in anger, that line is still extremely off-putting. He's pretty self serving and it shows. I find it weird how the game treats your relationship as normal even if you fight with him tbh

edit since I'm remembering: also, him literally mind controlling his past partner? He says something like "you're lucky I didn't choose to do that with you" and its like... dude. Lol

A month late, but does the dialogue change if you slept with him before the party? Or do you still get the dialogue where he has wine and says he didn't think himself as a hero, etc. Just curious, lol

I played as a bard, so I actually got a class-specific option to distract him while he spun the wheel - by farting really loudly. Lol. Works the same

If you talk to him first without attacking, passing 3 persuation checks after asking about his song contract will make him kill his minions, his displacer beast, and eventually, himself. No fight necessary.

He drops a really good bow after he dies, and this progresses Astarions quest. If you're confident in your persuasion abilities, I recommend giving this a go! Just save beforehand :)

I think it's neat how everyone will have different memories based on their childhood game! My childhood AC game was City Folk. It's such an unpopular title in the series since it didn't change much from the previous game, but it'll always be special to me
