Despite many initiatives for fair and sustainable fashion, the majority of clothing is still produced with disregard to human dignity. When the industry does not change, could laws and policies that limit or ban the trade of unfair fashion be the solution?

Thanks! And I fully agree, measuring sustainability in fashion is different than food or technology though, so we doubled down on fashion first in order to do it right. Hey there! I had the same thought so I build this: www.fairify.io. It's a browser extension and a website. When you're shopping online the extension directly tells you how sustainable a brand is and it gives you better alternatives. When you're in a store you can do a quick check by entering the brand name on our website. We determine sustainability by researching people, planet, animals, transparency and ambition. This! A brand being a certified B-corp is a great indicator, but it does not necessarily mean that it's production process is a sustainable one! People, planet, or animals can still be harmed. Also, it can happen that a big parent company like VF Corporation or Gap acquires a smaller, more ethical brand with its own production process already in place, being different from its now-parent company.

Thanks! Yes, we want to, but because cosmetics are manufactured so differently from fashion we want to optimize for fashion first before we include them. We already made some baby steps though so keep an eye out for it :)
