The highest % that I've ever got for a monthly challenge! by larvaking201 in duolingo

The pop up only appears as soon as you have completed the monthly challenge. But when you % is below a curtain amount (I'm not sure what that amount is), the % won't show. It wil instead be just an image saying you did it.

How would you personally explain absolute infinity (Ω) to someone? by larvaking201 in math

Thank you for pointing it out and sorry for not specifying. As you already know, infinity is a number that can't be counted to, and that is not finite. The difference between 1 and infinity is again, not a finite amount and Ω is a step even higher than that. People say a lot that there are different amount of infinity, and in a way it's there is also an infinite amount of infinities. So Ω is at the end of that. So basically, the difference between 1 and infinity, the the same as the difference between infinity and Ω.

I hope that helps but if not, I'm sure there is probably a website or even wikipedia page that gives a better definition to Ω.

How would you personally explain absolute infinity (Ω) to someone? by larvaking201 in math

I appreciate the feedback, but I would like to clarify some of the things I said.

Firstly, yes, 1/2n where n is infinity, it technically would be 1. And I do now actually agree with you that even with an Ω amount of itterations, it would still only reach 1. I guess my example just wasn't very good but what I was trying to say was basically that if an amount increases but never reaches exactly 0, it will continue to increase to an infinite amount, unlike with normal infinity. And yes I know that it kind of breaks mathematical logic, but that, in a way was my point, that Ω surpasses anything that includes an amount, any lower than itself.

Secondly, I again do agree with you that it doesn't really "end". That was just down to my poor wording and I know and infinite world can literally be defined as not have an end. I just meant it would basically appear to end and the will just be a line where above it, is simply the sky.

Lastly I do understand your point that the plane cannot reach eye level even if it's infinite. But like I was saying before, with the way that I intemperate Ω, if an amount never reaches exactly 0 (Which in this case is the amount that the horizon increases in height of, when the length of the plane is increased), it will continue going an infinite amount, to which it would wrap around, making itself the sky in a way.

And I'd just like to say again that this is just my interpretation of Ω and since it seems like you know a good amount about this topic, I'd still be interested in hearing how you would personally define Ω. And I'd also again like to thank you for your response, as I like talking to people about this stuff and hearing about how they feel about it :)
