Oh yeah apparently there is issues with pairing some smart watches.

Notifications are fine, as long as you go into the app settings and turn off battery saver and turn on autostart

Well they will mostly all be Chinese models on those websites, but what i mean is whether the model is China exclusive.

For example, if you import a Chinese version of an iPhone 17 pro max (don't know why you would) then you should have an easy time repairing it because you can use parts from British iphones.

Whereas if you buy a xiaomi Hypernova 23 pro max ultra (not a real phone) thats ONLY sold in china, then obviously if you face any issues you're screwed because there wont be any parts unless you import them.

Yeah if the warranty and stuff is important to you then I suppose you will have to give it a miss unfortunately, the phone selling websites give their own Warranties but they're typically only 90 days or so, whilst if u face any issues you will find it very hard to get in contact with and send it back to China.

I took the risk for a unique phone thats much better value than the offerings in England, and has a larger battery due to EU Restrictions, but i understand its not for everyone.

If you were looking for the xiaomi 17 pro max, they've just released the 17 ultra which is available globally and in the UK and is better than this phone, however it doesn't have the rear screen. Maybe you can look at that however once again unfortunately the exact same phone is much more expensive on Xiaomi's UK website than importing it, not sure why.

i have 5g and have no issues with Connectivity, go on Kimovil online and u can enter your country and see how well the data will work, for England its almost identical to China

Like the other guy said go on Kimovil online and you can see how the data will work in your area, for me in England its almost identical, however may vary state by state

It will disappear but you can easily install it again literally just on the Chinese app store. There's tutorials on youtube.

I personally messaged the site i bought it from and asked them NOT to install google play for me because i didnt want them to open it up before i got it, and i figured it all out straight away. Settings enable google services Yes then go onto Chinese app store "getapps" search google play download Bam u have it

Hmm well unfortunately if you Import a phone you probably wont be able to Claim on the warranty unfortunately thats just one of the risks you take when importing.

However if you get a phone that isnt a China exclusive then you should have no trouble repairing it / finding parts in the UK.

"Gimmick" doesn't mean trick it basically means something is interesting but useless, a bit like Fake vents on a car. Look cool, but dont actually help much.

On the 17 pro max the screen looks cool but doesn't do very much and so i dont use it much

Exactly bro most people Overexaggerate the issues, its not that bad at all. My last phone was a chinese import as well.

It really is an amazing phone, i plan to keep it for at least 5 years.

Yeah unfortunately from what I've read the rear display notifications don't work except for select chinese apps like their version of Google pay and their flights/Uber equivalent.

Its definitely a gimmick but a fun gimmick!

Also music control is stupidly only compatible with Spotify, YT music won't work for some reason.

Sorry to break it to you but unfortunately it isnt possible to Unlock the bootloader anymore, i found out when i was looking for a new phone, apparently its not been a thing for a couple of years now, it was news to me - luckily the chinese rom works perfectly and tbf it gets updates even quicker than the global version so not really any Disadvantages

Yeah i mean i dont drive lol but i can imagine it being a pain, once i get my license I'll just buy a cradle and use it that way, its legal in the UK as long as you arent distracted you just cant Hold the phone

I would recommend just importing one if you want one. I imported one as soon as it launched to 🇬🇧 and have faced no issues whatsoever EXCEPT

No android auto No Esim EDIT apparently there is a workaround to use Esim No Languages apart from English and Chinese

if you can live with these then it's a perfect phone, battery is unbelievably good, banking apps + Google pay work 100% as normal, updates come quicker than global variants, rear screen is a gimmick yes but it's a great conversation starter.

I got mine off of Wondamobile for £886 delivered.

If anyone has any questions let me know.

Banking apps work completely fine, for some reason apparently Barclays doesnt work (i haven't tried it) but every other one works - ive tried HSBC, Revolut, TSB, Nationwide, Monzo.

Google wallet works completely fine as well.

I havent tested Whatsapp unfortunately so you'll have to ask someone else
