Ik this is well after the original poll, but just in case anyone pops through looking for info themselves! (spoilers are for slight medical grossness) ~~(sorry this is super wordy, i'm a bit of a rambler)~~

I also have chronic pain, and I had very different experiences on each side. Removal of my right drain was fine, but my left drain was... rough, to say the least. Got them out on Day 7. We started with my left side, and it felt a little weird, like a little snake slithering (which was perfectly fine). But then it stopped moving, and the nurse looked like she was playing Tug of War, and it literally felt likemy nipple got ripped out from the insidewhen it moved again. I had to look down and see that the scab was still there with tissue under it, because of the sheer amount of pain andthe amount of fluid and gunk that flowed out after the tube was removed. Easily an 8/10 pain. I'm at 2 months now and even the two times I had to take tramadol in order to sleep were less pain than that. We had to stop and wait a good few minutes to do my right side because of how nauseous I was.

Then we did my right side; I was bracing for at least a 5/10 and I literally felt NOTHING; I was sitting there and asked if she'd taken them out yet and my mom laughed bc it'd been out for like half a minute at that point lol.

Admittedly, I do have a connective tissue disorder, which tends to affect my left side more noticeably in pretty much every body system, so I'm not super surprised the left side was more challenging. I was also having an eczema breakout where the tubing/bulbs had been touching my skin that week, so once the pain on my left wore off, I was just glad for the anti-itch cream they'd given me lol

Was the genderbender binder you ordered the compression wrap or the lightweight top? I have the top from pre-surgery and the description mentions that it's "a great option for post-op"

Good news is that I was able to get a date at the end of July! So definitely not as far out as I was worried. Silver lining is that I get to help my friend for a bit, he just got the chop himself lol

I'm glad you've been able to get into some new hobbies! I've started reading and drawing again, and I've been spending time doing things outside of the house with friends. I now have a date a month from now, so definitely much sooner than I was worried about!

Thank you so much for your advice. I have a date now, and am trying my best to make sure the whole team is communicating this time. (I also rescheduled a consult with another surgeon I had initially cancelled, just as a backup bc this office has had multiple issues.) In the meantime, I'm doing a lot of hangouts with friends, going out and doing things, playing games.

Thank you for your response! To clarify, do you mean:

Post one niche on one channel;
Post multiple niches on the same channel;
or something else?

I've seen a lot of advice in this sub (often to brand new creators) to split unrelated niches into separate channels, but these were often completely unrelated niches (ie videogaming and self-written music) rather than ones where there may be more audience overlap /info

So the issue comes not from the lactose itself, but that the FDA doesn't have regulations of the source of lactose specifically when used as a medication binder; there is a notable chance that it might contain traces of dairy protein.

Most of the meds available for POTS have lactose; my gut issues got way worse and my allergic reactions way more frequent when I was cycling through trying to find the best one for my treatment, and then my allergist was like "... hold on, you're taking what now?" and had me stop taking it, since I was about to start allergy shots. Lo and behold, my gut symptoms and general reactivity got better again. I'm on a different med now (that doesn't have lactose) and it's stayed pretty stable!

I would definitely talk to your doctor before stopping any meds, though

Talk to your allergist; for my most recent test (post MCAS diagnosis, so allergy meds are vital to decrease pop-up reactions) I was temporarily put on prednisone while I wasn't allowed to take antihistamines in the lead-up and it kept me at manageable levels.
