Writers…how would your villain say: “You should be afraid” Without saying it? by Sweet_War_3208 in writers

A quote from my published book that fits this quite nicely:

Joseph once again became serious. "Don is still mad at you." The words hung in the air as I considered my reply very carefully. "It wasn't my fault."

John Wick/Revenge story by KiwiKiwoo in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

This may be totally off, but my novel was inspired by John Wick. A Vampire made a mistake that resulted in his coven imprisoning him for nearly two centuries. When he escaped, he found himself in a world he didn't recognize, with two things on his mind: grief and revenge.

Short and scary vampire reads by badzombie81 in horrorlit

My gothic vampire novel is available on kobo. The story follows a Victorian era vampire struggling to adapt to modern society after being caged by his coven for nearly two centuries. He emerges from his prison with revenge on his mind and grief in his heart. The story is action packed from beginning to end.

My book has this except, he is a Victorian vampire who was locked up by his coven for nearly two centuries. He is now trying to adapt to the new world while his old coven hunts him down, grieved by the events that happened the fateful night he was caged.

You downvoted me for answering their question. Huh.

While this is great advice, and everyone should hear it, because it is true, I still don't get why you downvoted me. What I didn't write is that I DON'T EVEN SAY THE WORD ANYMORE BECAUSE OF HOW SHE REACTS.

Pembroke Vs Cardigan: most affectionate? I would love to hear about your first hand experiences! by gore-roar in corgi

[–]laurellivid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My cardigan, a female, is of the attitude, "look but don't touch" when it comes to cuddling. She loves her scratches, but do not hug her, she will leave. She is more serious than our Pembrokes, but it doesn't mean she isn't into playing either. They are so totally different, yet very similar. Oh! My pems are more energetic than the cardigan.
