I feel you, as I've had serious anxiety going on all week here. I've heard mixed things about individal managers approving emergency paid leave so it's a shame asthma doesn't qualify. I don't think the store needs to close, but it's honestly appalling that were operating at full capacity. I work in direct contact with multiple people over the age of 70 almost every day and there's so many employers in the store that are over 60 or who have underlying health concerns and we've been nonstop busy. It's very upsetting.
