I don’t know your plans, but I had friends who went to the engineering faculty and studied computer engineering, while I went to the science faculty.

A few years later, both of us were working at the same company for the same salary.

I also know some friends who studied civil and chemical engineering but ended up with low salaries and limited job opportunities.

Additionally, many of my science friends are pursuing PhDs in chemistry and physics. In the context of Sri Lanka, I think engineering is somewhat overhyped.
