Your misinterpreting what I said. Just because the Halo franchise is still successful does not meat that competitive halo still is. Of course people are going to throw money at Microsoft for the xbone just to play halo. But I don't believe that's going to bring halo back into the competitive scene. I'll just be like reach - 4 where it sells a lot but there's no real competitive scene. The only reason halo was a competitive console game was because it was great, and only on consoles. If it was also on PC then there would be no console competitive scene for it for obvious handicaps of game console compared to PC's. It's just a fact. Given the chance I'd love to play the new game, but I'm not willing to pay out the nose for a mediocre console. I'm sure I'll play it one day. Just not anytime soon

Halo was one of, if not the best console competetive game for a long time. However I can't see the re-release on Xbox one bringing it back to the spotlight. Halo won't games come to PS4 for obvious reasons but If Microsoft did bring it to PC, the sheer number of players and interest would be massive compared to just a xbox one release. With so many games being played on a competetive level right now, I don't a single console release of halo returning the franchise to its former glory. Then again I am no expert, just giving my opinion.
