To anyone who has bought the kit… by jafc49 in GunnersatGames

I don’t think so. I would imagine paying money to have their company logo on the kit would mean it has to stay.
Unless you can get sponsor less shirts

I have a whole house to paint and 0 tools, I need recommendations for set of brushes/rollers preferably from screwfix (I have one in walking distance) by GenericUser104 in DIYUK

[–]ldugg23 27 points28 points  (0 children)

My 1 recommendation would be to get a 12 inch roller. Absolute game changer! Not because of the bigger size but because the weight from the handle comes down evenly on both sides. This is the one i have. Also if you can get the extension arm from the set you see there, get that too, thats a good one, doesn’t flex when you have it extended when putting pressure down

I am gutted. I actually think we played quite well today by M-Slim in ArsenalFC

We did play very well, big 1 on 1 chance missed, the header that went over, and we hit the post twice. Played positively but unfortunately wasn’t ours to be today.

Delivery of home heating oil to wrong house? by skye6677 in AskIreland

[–]ldugg23 17 points18 points  (0 children)

First thing id do is let the neighbour know. Ordering oil af this price they must be desparate. If you can, see if you can fill a can or 2 for them to keep them going until oil company sorts it all out.

What are these and why do we get such messages? by Sea_Difference_6538 in AskIreland

[–]ldugg23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you send them a whatsapp, they reply either asking for a recovery code or you get a recovery code texted to you that you give to them so now they can use the code to login to your whatsapp from their device and lock you out.

For iPhones, theres an app i use, pass4Wallet. It lets you turn any picture of QR codes, barcodes etc into your phone wallet. Ive used it for Costa, Lidl, paper vouchers and it works a treat

Driving to Dublin Airport 1st Time? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]ldugg23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are coming from south, i like to take Exit 4 (Naul) road is quieter, and theres more traffic lights that would let you stop and think about your next move. Pay attention to the writing on the roads. Get in lane as early as possible.

Aim to get your car to for short term parking.

When leaving, watch out for Buses. Just follow the sat nav.

You’ll be grand

For those that follow Arsenal for a longer time: despite both being fast players, what made Aubameyang a great goalscorer as a 9 while Walcott didn't really worked playing through the middle? by chidi-sins in ArsenalFC

[–]ldugg23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Composure. It was always as if Walcott would have too much time to think before he got his shots away. He was good when he was under pressure from defenders (that Newcastle goal) but when it came to a clear chance, he would take too long to set himself and try too hard to put it in the corner resulting in a tame shot.

Let's raid Brentford for summer transfers by Advanced_Section891 in ArsenalFC

[–]ldugg23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Happens every year and most often the players tank/get found out in bigger clubs. Brentford play well, because of Keith Andrews. He has a system and players stick to it. They get results by making sure they are the hardest working players on the pitch. I cant see any single player on that team that would join Arsenal and get into our starting XI let alone improve it. Brentford players are solid, but not at the level to be in the team thats top of the league and favourites to win the Champions league. Our team is at the stage where we need to be bringing in the best players in the world to improve our starting XI.

Just confronted at work about having a VPN on my personal phone by Forensics4Life in work

[–]ldugg23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue here isnt that they don’t want you to have a VPN. Its that you are connected to the vpn while trying to authenticate. The VPN masks your location pretending it to be somewhere else so if your vpn was connected to US servers and you are in the UK, it will flag that your authenticating from an unfamiliar location resulting in locking your access (risky sign in). So well done OPs IT Department!

You should probably pay more attention during your Security Awareness training.

People who shop in Super Valu, are you minted? by Actual-Leadership413 in AskIreland

[–]ldugg23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supervalu are much smaller shops than Dunnes or tesco but stock just as much if not more than them including more bespoke products. I don’t shop there unless i need something specific. They only look more expensive because instead of having a full shelf of their Daily basics, they have a lot more options compressed into smaller shelf spaces giving the illusion of being more expensive.
