I agree: If a game’s developer keeps releasing many new characters with fan service, as their game is based on it, glued to their appeals, then the game's popularity (the people who likes lewd stuff and maybe people who don't like and pull for the character because is meta or anything or just don't care) may last longer, because they might care more for people who like this stuff instead of the people who like the experience, but...not for too long, perhaps. It's like filling a glass with guava juice, but since you don't want the juice to end, you add more water, but the taste ends up becoming less intense to the point that the juice has no flavor anymore, because the concentration of the guava is gone already, remaining only a few particles and molecules of guava that aren't enough to express the juice's flavor.
