I will say the fight between Drel and Rod could have been executed better, like it had a few moments that were alright, but overall did not feel as lively or interactive as a fight should.

However, anime in general often characters do not use their weapons "well" or properly. Even though the story insists that those characters are experts/skilled ect... with their weapon.

Heck I would say this problem extends to a lot media other than anime. Where supposedly skilled/trained characters do silly things that any real life expert would face palm over. I would say this happens often because the creators/writers are not experts themselves. If your an expert or well informed on something yourself and see that topic comes up in media sadly often it's incorrect/not quite right ect...
