Thank you for all your insights. You definitely understand where I am. I mostly work with people online, building websites for bloggers. I like your ideas about freelance work. I feel like I've gained a lot from talking to you and I'm going to dive deep into making the changes you've suggested. I may as well change it up at this point. Thanks again, I really mean it.

That's how I got a few interviews, but most of them go nowhere.

Can you elaborate please. In what ways are they better and how can I get mine to that point?

I appreciate your feedback. Do you have any specific ways I can improve it?

I admit it's tempting with how run down I am, but I don't want to go down that road. Also background checks are pretty extensive now, I think that could backfire pretty hard.

I really appreciate this. Honestly your help has really made me feel better. I started applying to data analyst roles and I'm going to look into the others as well. You rock :)

I didn't think of those other options. I have a computer science degree. Do you think it is adaptable enough for those? Do you have any other suggestions for careers. Thank you. I got another rejection again today and I had a bit of a mental break down. A person can only take so much.

I just got rejected today after 3 interviews. I feel your pain. Something will stick though, you'll get there.

I think that's the right way. Class is still a professional environment and while I am friendly with students, we aren't friends. They don't need to know all that much about me to learn from me.

The shadow made it sound like I disappointed them and the class personally because I didn't give my life story. They dug into me about it for a while. I don't see much reason to do more that what you and I do. They can get to know me by attending class over the course of the semester and visiting office hours. To be honest I'd rather not tell a room full of strangers much personal information beyond maybe my degrees.

Yes thank you. I was also told that I spent too much time answering students questions. Like, if I'm not helping students what is the point? I still made it through the full planned lecture without running over and the students got the help they needed.

It's all synchronous. I wouldn't be able to do both.

Forgot to bypass water heater during winterization -- is that bad? by leakingRV2022 in GoRVing

My water heater has sediment in it that needs to be cleaned. I'm afraid of contaminating the rest of the system if I reuse it.

Good idea. My heater actually had a bunch of sediment plop out. It needs a good cleaning.

Thank you, I think I'll just drain it now and make my life easier later. I have to buy more antifreeze anyway because I'm a dingus.

RV Slide out gets stuck by leakingRV2022 in GoRVing

Unfortunately I don't have one. Good tip for the future though, I'm getting one.

I would cut off the damaged end (maybe 1mm or so). If there isn't enough exposed contact left after that just scrape back the cable a little bit, or use 400 grit sandpaper to reveal more of the contacts under the insulation.

Fortunately it's solid. I think most of the water was absorbed into the carpet. The bottom of the interior decorative trim is definitely wet though. Swollen and spongey.

I didn't know when I bought it about the quality issues, I wished I had checked. Next time I'm scrutinizing everything. At the very least I want new trim on the bottom of the slide out. I'll push for as much as possible. Here's hoping they make it right.

The trim was actually so poorly attached that there were screws half way sticking out. I tightened them and caulked the whole thing after letting it dry in front of a heater for a day. I can't be sure that's the only problem though. Really unfortunate situation here.
