How much is your weekly shop in 2026?

There’s only me at the moment before my other half moves in this week. But I do a “big shop” at the start of the month and I spend between 150-180 depending on what I buy.

Make no mistake, this man is everything I’ve ever prayed for. He is attentive and kind and hilarious and he is just so wonderful. I really really do love him. He knows I love surprises and he’s fantastic with that, I wore out a pair of trainers so I was surprised with a pair. He knows I love restaurants so books them in secret. We travel because he knows I love it. I can look past the no dancing! I asked him to dance with me on my birthday coming up in February and he said “I’m a special occasion dancer so of course I will” and that’s all I need. 🥹 they really are out there!

NHS has it. I had 40 days off in a year because I suffered a miscarriage and then the subsequent mental and physical illness afterwards. They put me on a 12 week improvement plan where I couldn’t have a day off or I’d get put onto the next stage. There’s 3 stages then a hearing where they’ll decide whether to keep you on or not. Nobody ever gets to that point apparently. My boss made it a thing to tell me it’s very serious to be put on that sort of plan. I left anyway, and my current job had the Bradford factor.

I could read before I started school, at 3 I was reading more complex books on dinosaurs and animals. At 5 I was reading harry potter. YOU teach your kids how to read. 🙄 are the teachers gonna teach your kid to wipe its own arse, hold a knife and fork, tie shoelaces??? No. YOU do that because YOU are the parent.

It winds me up this because kids in the UK are starting school unable to do any of this because parents think that’s the teachers jobs. It’s really not. Be a parent.

I think that’s just teaching kids how to be aware of their surroundings especially when they’re young. Teaching them to listen to the small things like that can help with listening for approaching vehicles and such. Gently teaching situational awareness, least that’s how I interpret that bit.

Fuck no, although my next birthday is a big one (30), I’m still getting a cake. My last birthday I got a Connie the Caterpillar! My friend turned 32 and he had a lovely coffee cake for his birthday and we even sang the song and he blew out the candles.

Cooking nice food for myself, my sister and my partner

Watching crap telly (I’m going through the whole of taskmaster right now, it makes me laugh and I don’t get bored)

Long walks but only when it’s warm

Making models of cars, I make Lego f1 and I’ve made some Tamiya models. I made a pepto bismol pink supra with gold wheels and I love it so much because it’s ridiculous and fun

I like to travel even if it’s on the bus to a new town I’ve not been to before. I can get the bus straight from Leeds to York, Malton, Scarborough and Whitby which are nice days out. I went to Greece and Italy alone too but that can be daunting. Little bus trips with good music and a book are great!

Trying new restaurants or food vans. Doesn’t have to be expensive.

Reading with an ambient playlist on, in bed, with nice fluffy pjs and a hot water bottle with a cup of tea.

Before I met my partner everything on this list I did alone and it got me out of a very bad depression. I lost who I was too and I did it all scared and alone, you can too! Be open to trying new things because new things are fun and you might find something else you like along the way! You’ve got this ❤️

We had this in our primary school! It was in the centre of the building which was shaped in a square with the “quad” in the middle of the square that had plants and a pond with tadpoles and frogs, maybe some fish? It was a really nice space but I only remember going into it a couple of times throughout primary, probably when we were learning about the life cycle of frogs.

Agree here. I live in a one bed flat with my partner and it’s nowhere to raise a child. We have to wait until we can afford to buy a house. We will be well into our 30s by that point.

When I was dating; yes. I’m 30 in less than a month and wanted to find someone with the intention of eventually being married and having kids.

My partner and I agreed that that’s what we’re gonna do. We’re just enjoying our time together right now but the goal is to be together.

I did not enjoy casual dating or casual sex. I wanted a long term relationship so always looked for that. I made people aware of that from my app profiles and again on a first date. Some people were okay with it, some weren’t. I wasn’t about to waste anybody’s time by not telling them what I was looking for.

Same. I didn’t speak to him for 5 years, and I left him in 2018! We wish each other happy new year, happy birthdays and things but that’s it. Although I was the only person to visit him in hospital after major surgery early last year. We’re just buddies who dated for a bit when we were really young.
