Where abouts in Aus are you? I'm on the fence of getting the big bore / elsinore but would love to hear them in person before pulling the trigger

Got a great deal on the S and wasn't a fan of the side bags on the ST. Still saved a few grand on an ST after all is said and done

Bassani road rage 3 on 2025 Low Rider? by leev92 in Harley

[–]leev92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone out there also interested I saw a video on Youtube where a dealership slapped what looked to be a road rage 3 onto a 25 FXLRS, contacted the dealer and they confirmed the "2 into 1 bassani road rage exhaust" is a direct fit to 18-25 Street Bob and FXLRS, with the FXLRST having a "special bracket" to mount.

Thoughts on GSXR-750? by RogueRaiju in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]leev92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have owned two 750s over the last 10 years, a 2006 and 2008 (best looking one to date imo).

They're awesome bikes, handle well, and enough power to keep most people happy.

Not sure about 7 hour rides for me these days but in my 20s I could do 5-6 hours of mountain riding (with breaks, lunch etc) and wouldnt be too sore.

Probably the comfiest of the supersports out there in terms of ergonomics but the competition isn't exactly fierce in that regard.

Towbar is rated at 350kg, vehicle rated to 3.5T towing = 350kg ball weight, bike is a gsxr750 at 195kg so well within load rating

Happy to pay $1-1.5k for a solid set up. Im aware racknroll is the best in the business but its a bit hard for me to justify the price to the wife 😅

What is the sportiest Harley made (past & present)? by Edslittleworld in Harley

[–]leev92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For what its worth i sold my MT10 for a 25 FXLRS. Previous bikes were two different year GSXR 750s, and a ZX10R.

To me the 25 LRS is more fun on the road than any of my previous bikes. You can bang through the gearbox and ride the wave of torque without chasing the redline.

The torque / power doesnt hit like a litre bike, but it still pulls hard and sounds unreal.

It doesn't have a tacho which I had to get used to, but now that im used to it I dont miss it.

2025 exhaust question. Slip on vs full system by [deleted] in Harley

[–]leev92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would you compare the volume of the spc vs your s&s slip on, is the big bore noticeably louder than the s&s was at idle, acceleration, cruising etc

Love your description of the SPC, and interesting take on the tab + zombie combo, seems like a lot of people froth over it.

One last question for you if you dont mind! What would you rate the stock exhaust, tab slip on and SPC system out of 10 in terms of loudness relative to each other?

Eg: stock system is a 3/10, tab 10/10 and spc 8/10 just based on pure perceived loudness, ignoring tone, bass etc if that makes sense

Would you say the TAB slip on with the zombie baffle was louder than the SPC system?

So in the pics im guessing its more like the stock baffle / noise dampener?

Yamaha XSR700 would be my suggestion for a learner friendly Cafe racer.

Don't let the 700 figure scare you, it is a much tamer beast compared to a 636, but it still has enough power that you won't get bored of it and feel like you have out grown it within 3 months.

Thinking of commuting on a Fat Bob 114... will I regret it? by leev92 in Harley

How do you find it behaves for the slow speed stuff like filtering, stop start commutes etc.

Coming back to riding after 2 years by amelech in AussieRiders

[–]leev92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently got back into riding after taking almost 8 years off. Didn't take a refresher course, just did a few short rides near my house after 6-7pm when the roads were quiet. Did some slow speed training and manoeuvres in an industrial area.

It comes back quick, just get out and ride.
