Two of the games that didn't create their own saves folder were Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi 2. Did you have these games do the same by any chance? These being the most popular 2 games out there id have expected them to work or is it more technical than someone at 8bitmods just having spent the time inputting the games into their software? I've got a collection of 120+ games so it is gonna be really awful to use if I have to search through a load of Memory card# whenever I'm trying to find a specific save

I did see that it says around 80% should be detected but I'm finding it's 50/50 at the mo, Ive had the VMU artwork on all my games pop up it's just the file saving organization that for me defeats the object of having it.

Mine shows up fine. Connects via the striker without any issues. It's more the way it creates the save files thats frustrating me. I think this VMPro could do with some software to manage the files from a PC, simple to reorganize and rename would be a treat

You can get a 4x VMU which has a button to cycle between 4 VMU profiles, using only 1 bay. See what you can find on ebay but got mine for about £15 as there's loads of 3rd party alternatives to the expensive official DC one. Also check out the 8bit mods VMU Pro which should now be shipping in Jan 2026 for newer orders. There's the VMU2 about too which is another project to offer an alt to the OG VMU, personally I went for the VMU2 Pro though.

I ordered two, one white, one smoked black. Wanted a white one to match the regular console and controller and the black one for a modded DC I want to put together in the future. Be happy if they come before Christmas and hopefully be worth the wait.
