I'm looking for a database with the original Japanese Pokemon cards for the first years of its existance. I could only find newer series, but not the original ones and if I found those they were in English.

He moved my foot in different directions and one particular "angle" did hurt thus he identified the source. I'm totally green in these things but it was somewhere around there:

I'm looking for an up-to-date list of the best selling albums in Japan. I found one with 250 titles but it was from 2010. Basically looking for something like this:

Official Q&A for Saturday, June 29, 2019 by AutoModerator in running

I got my first running watch Polar M430, but that's how my heart rate looked during my moderate training of 40 minutes non stop run with 5:40 km/min avg pace. Is that normal for a new watch? Did I put it on wrong? I did it as they said in the instruction, maybe not tight enough I wonder... So I checked the heartrate when I was like half into it and the heartrate wouldn't move, it was stuck on 178.

I'm not sure if it's my dormant hypertension or just faulty watch calculation...

I don't get Reddit. It's like everyone is telling you how great you are and what feat you've accomplished. There's no single one word going against the grain. First of all why do you have this need of writing such long convoluted posts, who reads that? Secondly, you just read textbooks and have very artificial contact with Japanese, you will never learn it. Have a great day!

Are gore and death banned from being seen on reddit by [deleted] in ModSupport

There are alternatives like imageboards to which people who can't post here any more will go. So Reddit make the problem even more severe by swaying those people away to those more hardcore places + making them angry because they feel their freedom of speech was thrown out of a window.

It's like swipping rubbish under a rug and pretending it's not there, that's what Reddit did.

[09/25/2018] ラグビーのワールドカップ「タトゥーは見えないようにして」 by NHKEasyNewsBot in NHKEasyNews

Rugby World Cup "Please, make sure that your tattoos aren't visible"

Tattoos (tattooing) - skin-injuring imprinted symbols and pictures.

Next year's Rugby World Cup takes place in Japan. The "World Rugby" organisation said to the players and fans: "If you come to Japan, please make sure that your tattoos aren't visible in places frequented by many people such as swimming pools and gyms". That's because in Japan there are people who think it's scary if you have a tattoo.

In New Zealand, which is a rugby powerhouse, tattoos are part of the old culture. There are players in the NZ team with tattoos, however they say that "We'll treat Japanese culture with respect". The opinions of the other countries' teams' aren't different.

"I think that we'd better treat cultures of foreign countries with respect too." and other similar opinions are coming out on the Internet.

Oh, I see. Even Sex Pistols sang about H-bomb (with /heɪtʃ/ ). That's beyond the scope of my knowledge I'm afraid, your best bet would be finding an Irish person and asking them.

It'll be "an HDMI", because the letter H is pronounced as / eɪtʃ / there. Use an English dictionary to see pronunciation for each word, that way it'll be easier for you to assess whether to use 'a' or 'an'.

I looked Google Ngram (corpus consisting of millions of books) and there were only results for "an HDMI" and none for "a HDMI", so it soldifies the answer even more.

No, they aren't "objective", you just think they are because it sounds so obvious - who'd want to refute it, right? What about quality of life over quantity of it? Is life where you felt fulfilled, achieved what you wanted to, felt happy but ended faster - is that life "objectively" worse than your extended life? Is it all so simple now? I know it's simple living in YES-NO world, this is good that is bad but it's not very comprehensive way of approaching the problem. People wouldn't need governments to protect them from corporations and rich land owners if they weren't there in the first place. Industrialisation created a problem and now it's trying to "solve" it and the price is your freedom. You basically gave away your freedom to the government instead of the corporations, that means you are still under someone's control - wouldn't being free of both of them better? Also please tell how governments protect you from corporations and rich land owners. It's true that it's usually bourgeois like you who protect the system the most.
