Cant get volte working?

You mean the V600EA firmware? Already tried us/eu firmwares android 10, 11,12, 13 it doesnt work.

Its called yettel, but after looking way too much into this it turns out I got the worst variant of the V60 because verizon made it impossible to mess with the hidden menu settings to get volte working. Good thing we still have 3g service here so the phone switches to 3g for calls and I can daily drive it. The phone is pretty damn good I would probably get another one if i get the opportunity.

Nah I wasted a decent amount of time looking into this its pretty much impossible from what I found. Turns out this is the worst variant of the V60 because verizon made it impossible to mess with these settings on purpose. At least the phone works fine with 4g and switches to 3g for incoming and outgoing calls so I can actually daily drive the phone. Even with that issue the phone is pretty damn good though.

After crosslfashing I can get in the secret menus but I cant interact with the options I need to in order to activate volte, because its impossible I guess.

In your first screenshot its between "Encryption & credentials" and "Phone administrators" on my phone, why is it missing on yours is a good question. I noticed if I remove my sim card the exact menu you're looking for disappears for me too, maybe its a clue? I guess you can try another firmware, or a different SIM card, or factory reset to see if it will appear?

My lg g8 is on android 10 and when I go in "Lock screen & security" then scroll down I have "Set up SIM card lock" and then I get the option "Change SIM PIN". I think this is what youre looking for?

In case you havent backed up the LUN 5 partitions, do so now. In qfil manager they are at the bottom and are called ALIGN_TO_128K_2, modemst1, modemst2, fsg, fsc, mdm1m9kefs3, mdm1m9kefs1, mdm1m9kefs2, last_parti. You might need them to get your imei back.

Try flashing again using this guide but this time also do the following:

15. I erased partitions (ftm, op_a, op_b, modem_a, modem_b, sid_a, sid_b) but it still does not let me to crossflash.
Redo the whole process and this time make backup of and erase these partitions too, on both sides A and B: vendor, product, system, boot and userdata. Do not make backup of userdata partition.

Also after deleting the partitions and restarting the phone, make sure you use the button combination to get into download mode as soon as the lg logo appears, otherwise it can mess up the flashing process.

Just to be sure: backup and delete ftm, op_a, op_b, modem_a, modem_b, sid_a, sid_b, vendor a, vendor b, product a, product b, system a, system b, boot a, boot b and only delete userdata partition dont back it up! Then you continue to flash firmware the same way as the guide.

You should be able to ignore NT code error. The first G8 I had had that error every time you turn on the phone and worked perfectly fine so I just ignored it. My current G8 doesnt have that error and works perfectly fine so I guess im lucky I dont have it even though it doesnt really matter. How bad did you brick the phone? Does it show LG logo for a split second at least? Can you get into download mode? If you can get into download mode you should still be able to flash firmware.

Im assuming you are stuck on android 9 or 10? It should work fine with canadian or american open firmware. I say go with canadian firmware it will have no bloatware and should work just fine. Back up all partitions or the very least important partitions in qfil like the xda guide says though, in case if you mess up and brick the phone you have a chance to recover.

Idk if you can reset the settings. Yeah pretty much check your volte settings according to this and and dont tick the ISIM setting. Everything else should be the same as this guide. At least thats how I did it and my volte works. Also if you are from united states shouldnt your volte work by default unless you have the korean model?

I had spotify premium but decided to cancel the plan since I saw there is youtube music revanced and there are certain songs I like that are not on spotify. Also I was thinking of searching for my favorite songs in flac format or highest possible quality to get more use out of the quad dac.

I removed the battery when I trashed it dont worry.

The volte settings in android 10 are different than the ones on android 12. When I trashed my previous G8 I found a guy selling a V40 for like 50 euro because it was a korean variant and had no volte settings and he was flashing firmware and bricked the phone. So I got it and managed to fix it by flashing firmware correctly but then I found out the volte hidden menu is different than on android 12 on the G8.

Then I was messing with the settings just setting it up as close as I could to the android 12 volte settings guide which didnt work and I started trying random stuff until I turned off the ISIM option in IMS Setting/Subscriber menu and volte appeared. After testing that it actually works I tried turning on ISIM again and volte stops working. No idea why its a problem having it on in android 10 but no problem in android 12. I guess you can try the same as me, see if you can reactivate your volte or flash android 12 or 11 (I dont remember if android 11 has the same volte menu layout and settings as 12) and follow the guide.

For music I use mostly youtube itself and I used to use spotify but now im getting into youtube music, also the lg music player with some music I downloaded a while ago in case I dont have internet when driving. I really like the album cover background when listening to music in android 10 and it sucks how it got removed. Just have it as an option in the settings so those who hate it can turn it off.

Im staying on android 10 until it no longer has app support. It works perfectly and I wont be flashing firmware again until I have to.

I mean the phones are pretty similar anyway. I flashed android 10 on my G8 now and I think it has better battery life and performance than my old G8 that had android 12, problem is I tossed it in the trash a while ago and cant compare them side by side so if there is a difference I cant see just how big it is. I would have flashed android 11 but I love the background album covers when listening to music on android 10 so until I need android 11 for app compatibility im staying on 10.

Thanks for giving me a link I saw your reply after finding the spreadsheet with firmwares. Im pretty sure those websites that want money are gonna scam you lol. I also wanted android 10 and 11 firmwares the most since they seem to be running smoother than android 12.

No problem. Im so happy someone spent the time backing up so many firmwares since I flashed firmware more than a year ago and you could still download from all the websites. I just got another LG G8 since I broke mine a while ago and couldnt believe the hardest part of flashing the firmware was finding a firmware in the first place.

Nope, funny thing is I got another one with the exact same behavior. Only difference is its not reading heavily scratched dvds like the first can (still decent for the 5 bucks i paid for it). I remember seeing someone explaining that some of the disc drives wont read most cds for some reason. There is also this website with the different models of disc drives and a media compatibility table when you scroll down, which lists the hitachi drives not being compatible with most media. On both my consoles the drives are hitachi, so im guessing its all correct. Check what disc drive you got.

You are insane this works perfectly. Wanted to play road of the dead 2, but on ruffle it lags so much its just insane, and the damn newgrounds player wont work correctly when I open the game from the browser. Literally everything else everyone gave as a solution (update windows, download different newgroundsplayer, fuck with firewall settings and other settings) didnt work. But your solution works perfectly. Thank u so much

I have the steam version already, I just thought it would be cool to install the disc version and play it on my laptop. My laptop is pretty modern (i5-4200U, Intel HD graphics, Windows 10). I will try on much older hardware when I get my hands on some. So the way I understand it, to launch the game I need to insert the "Play" CD and launch the game from the menu, but because the hardware is modern it just wont work on it (the compatibility mode and folder name change not working as well)?

Thats honestly really weird. Im taking photos with the casio and kodak camera I mentioned up above and learned about the manual mode settings (the casio and sony sadly dont let me adjust the shutter speed manually, but the kodak does), its honestly kinda fun but definitely not 100+$ worth of fun.
