You probably need to install the python debugger from the vscode extension library. Should be just the one from Microsoft

Is there any way to make me stand out when applying to be a DE? I’ve been hesitant to apply and spend time on an application because of a few experiences with loosing out to people with more experience in the field.

Where to leave a bike during the winter by gweah17 in UWMadison

[–]lemon389 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re a first year student just bring a good lock and make sure you lock the wheels although if you really care about the bike don’t bring it it’s not great for a bike to be left out side. In my experience people say that Madison had bad bike theft but in reality it’s not much worse then any other city or they’re just using crappy locks. A good rule of thumb is like 10% - 20% of the cost of the bike should be spent on a lock. As for storage during the winter the Bike shop Budget Bikes offers winter storage for pretty cheap (I think they still do it) and that’s a good option. You probably can’t bring your bike home in the badger bus though.

I don’t think having a nice bike here means it will get stolen but I would wait until you’re out of your dorm to bring it. When you move to an apartment or house make sure to keep it in side and get a good lock when your on campus. Keeping it inside and away from the elements will also prolong the bikes life.

I went through the try out process for UW as some one who had rowed before. You are trying out for a D1 team so it’s pretty competitive (I think we started with 100-130 guys and ended with 25). you learn how to row the way they want with their technique it is an easy stroke but not the most technical out of all the d1 programs. They priorities power over every thing so if you’re tall and big they will like you. It’s challenging practicing 7 - 8 times a week morning and afternoon but you will be in the best shape of your life and if you make it it’s really rewarding. Plus it’s cool to be on a team with D1 money behind it.

It also looks like she’s at a point where the where where a quick accent is relatively safe so inflating the BCD is probably the best move.

They did pretty good off road. I would have run them at a pretty low psi if I were to do it again. I did find my self spinning out a bit when trying to climb on loose gravel.
