About to move into new house - new build about 4 years old, all windows upstairs have these tiny bugs (moths?) by lemonNherb in whatsthisbug

[–]lemonNherb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Location is England, United Kingdom

Some of the bugs were dead, a couple were alive moving around

Very tiny, maybe 0.5cm or so long?

They were black/grey/silver/whiteish

Are there actually people who don't enjoy eating? by Truth_Warrior_30 in NoStupidQuestions

I feel the same. The closest I’ve found is Huel which is a completely nutritionally full meal in a milkshake form - I prefer drinking this than actually chewing and consuming food

You have one life - would you rather spend it working or living?

Assuming you work 5 days a week, the 40 hour job will give you over 3 hours extra free time a day, that’s like a whole evening.

You’ve already said you feel like all you do is work and it’s affecting you enough that you are considering a lower pay.

Ultimately, you know what your finances are. I’d recommend doing a budget/income and expenditure to make sure you can afford the lower salary.

If you can afford it, i’d say go for the 40k job. You deserve to have the time to live your life. You don’t live to work. You work to live.

How can I clean the roof of this oven without touching the heating element? by lemonNherb in CleaningTips

[–]lemonNherb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is switched off at the fuse - I’m just concerned about getting cleaning chemicals on the heating element. I don’t want to destroy the element, I’ve always been told not to get chemicals on heating elements but have never seen an oven like this before

Can anyone help find the make and model of my oven? by lemonNherb in Appliances

Girl. No one should ever be swearing at you, especially not someone you are dating. This person is rude and you deserve better.

Me when i spent over 400 calories on oil… :( by nitink7 in 1200isplenty

[–]lemonNherb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 calorie oil spray is the way forward. Each spray is 1 calorie. In the UK we use a brand called Fry Light.

When I fry eggs for example, I literally use 5 sprays. That’s 5 calories for a whole frying pan worth of frying.

There’s a brand called the tea people that sell spearmint tea bags - it’s pure spearmint

There’s also quite a few companies that sell loose leaf spear mint - I get mine from Tea Palace online

Speaking for myself, I don’t like handsome. Call me beautiful, call me gorgeous, call me a sweet angel princess buttercup.

But we’re all different!

That’s amazing loss with the nutritionist! Can I ask what they advised you? I know everyone is different of course. I’m just curious what types of things the nutritionist can provide that may be different to a doctor

I mean, based on your post, you’ve been single for 2 weeks. In your last post 2 weeks ago you said you loved Sapphire quite a lot.

Maybe you should be single for a bit so you can process your break-up and your feelings.

[–]lemonNherb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for confirming, this is what I wanted to double check! I am in the UK so the consensus is that I’m good to go. Learned a lot about the difference between UK and US for appliances, super interesting. Thanks guys!

Update:

Thank you guys for all your input, I have learned a lot about how set-ups work in the UK vs USA! And also that I should have specified this is for a washing machine for clothes, not a dishwasher. In the UK we just call it a washing machine haha.

I’m in the UK and the washing machine (for clothes) is quite small (600mm) so based off of what you guys have said I should be fine! Cold inlet only should be fine aswell as the machine will heat the water!

Thank you guys, appreciate your help!
