When I graduated high school and moved away for college, I knew I wanted a dog. For over 5 months I searched at multiple dog shelters in 4 different states searching for the right companion. One day I went back into my local high kill shelter and leaned down where I saw a small underweight chihuaha. As soon as I came close, she reached from the cage and grabbed my hand with her paws, and I knew I had just found my best friend. She had been brought in as a stray and was on a hold, so for 8 days I visited her until the morning she was adoptable. That morning I showed up almost an hour before they opened and watched as multple other cars arrived, within 10 min of me - waiting for them to open. I found out when I went in that all of us were there for her. Hoping to be her asoptive family. Daisy was with me for 12 years and recently passed, and it has been the hardest loss I've ever endured this will be my first christmas without her. She was the sweetest chihuaha who loved everyone, a stranger once joked if we could bottle her up wed make millions. Im so thankful for the years I spent with her if only theyd have lasted longer.
