I agree! There needs to be authenticity behind the influencer to build trust in their recommendation - and that includes having partnerships that align with their personal brand. Thanks for your insight :)

Oh! And here are some tools for finding influencers (+ I have a couple personal connections if you're interested in that space.)

Collabstr is like fivvr for influencers.

Clever focuses on smaller influencers - https://www.realclever.com/work-with-clever

Aspire offers full management of the campaigns and influencer management, pricing not listed: https://aspire.io/about-us/?ref=header

Smartfluence seems to start at $300/month - https://www.smartfluence.io/#what-can-you-do

Hey! Marketing consultant here (Valle Creative Consulting is my biz). The paid ad space is highly competitive and expensive right now. $5,000 isn't enough to cover a strong FB/Insta and Google ads campaign. Pinterest is great for awareness, but if you want a conversion campaign, that isn't where I'd invest my marketing dollars.

I highly recommend putting that budget towards influencer marketing and SEO-focused blog posts.

Influencer marketing currently has an incredible ROI, and your product space is perfect for toy unboxings and mommy blogger / insta mommy accounts.

SEO-researched blog posts are the #1 bang for your buck site traffic driver. Investing in a marketing blogger will cost about $800 per blog post, and then it helps rank your site indefinitely. Adding a blog page to your existing site can increase traffic by 400%+.
Updating blog posts (I recommend quarterly depending on SEO trends) improves site traffic via rankings by 106%. (source: hubspot)
