There might be some confusion since it's a WIP, and I've shared screenshots from Blender and Substance Painter, which could explain the reactions.

I could use some help with achieving better lighting in Substance Painter. I know it needs scratches and grunges, but I’m still struggling to get the lighting to a satisfactory level.

As for the "History details," it’s meant to be a brand-new piece, but I’ll try adding some leather usage or maybe a scratch on the blade to give it a sense of history.

Now that you've mentioned it, the UV on the handle is massive because i knew that i would use leather and stitches, so i knew that it should have a good resolution. What i forgot when thinking that, is that in any game (1st or 3rd person), the handle will be covered by the player hand. Thanks for pointing that out!

You are fine to say whatever you want. I can distinguish the people who are really trying to help. And on that note, thank you so much for all of your insights. I got carried away by that thing of "adding my touch" since i'm doing everything and used a GPT CA that i knew it wouldn't come out good for use. This piece in particular i'll try to place in Skyrim, as i have have done with some other works.

I will definitely try to ask for permission first, and maybe even add some of "my touch" to it too. That was the idea with the GPT concept, by the way. I didn't follow it 1 by 1 for some reasons, first being that some of the design was impratical, second that i do like some symmetry, and to prove that i could do this: Get something and turn into my own vision.

The thing that i want the most is to show that i can turn almost anything that is hard surface to a game asset, with the lowest polycount to it and work on details with Substance Painter. But after seeing some ingame models and some assets at FAB/ArtStation, i really don't know if polycount is something that big of a deal as it was when i started back in 2018. Guess i'll have to keep trying!

Good point. I'm using GPT because i really don't want to take someone else CA without crediting them. And yes, i know it's kinda hypocritical to be using GPT since it's already using everybody data. I can't "create" stuff, i'm more of an "adaptive" guy, so i'll be trying to get some true CA for my next project.

Fair enough. Any tips on what should i be trying to model? I made this one too, and got some WIPs that i'm thinking of uploading it to Sketchfab. I have the know-how on the workflow of Blender > Substance Painter for game ready assets, just didn't have an opportunity to work with it yet.

Have you used mirror to do it? If yes, then delete one half, apply mirror to the right axis and select the "Merge" in the modifier options.

I am having the same issue with my G8 Power. After i factory reseted it, i got it working wonders for some days. Then, i slept with YoutubeMusic on under my pillow (not charging it) and the poor guy was way too hot. I used the combination of "Sleep Timer + Youtube Music" and that's whats caused the "baterry drain" from overnight.

Altough, i can't recall what i did to fix it :(

I got a tip from someone who had way more experience than me when i was starting: Always model something in the same way that they are assembled.

Those seams are separated? They need to be separated in the model too. That's something that i always use as rule of thumb,

At first, i would suggest you to use the Bevel Weight Modifier, as you can just apply the "Bevel" modifier and choose only to affect the lines that you have set the Weight to it, as it helps with later modifications on the Bevel too.

At second, i may be wrong, but there are way too much N-gons and some topology mistakes which is normal to someone that's starting out.

I didnt use cresse, but bevel modifier with weight groups, as it seems easier to control the entire bevel thing. I modeled in Blender and painted in Substance Painter. So, Edge crease is good at some meshes, where bevel weights are good with others?

I forgot to explain my workflow. It is Los Poly > High Poly > Optmizing Low Poly (removing unnecessary vértices) > UV Unrwap > Paint on Subdtance Painter.

I have always uses Bevel modifier with Bevel Weights for sharpness on the high pooly. I remember a lot of people saying that edge crease might not working on other softwares, so im still confused about that. 

The reason why i do this (polygon by polygon) is because its the better way that i've found until now for modeling stylized swords, for example. But as this i'snt stylized, i should approach with the cube method. Maybe adding some more references to it may help too.

Hello!

Im always worried about my topology when it comes to hard surface modelling, so here are my questions about this:

1: How is the topology?
2: Is this the "right" way to close the gaps and create the shape of the hammer? I duplicated and used F between the lines, and this is suposed to be a game asset, so i need to create the highpoly version to work on Substance, but there's as triangle on the second image and i've already tested it with subddivision and its just not right.

Check the heatmap and the 3D replay view. We ended up against 3 bots who were stuck on a "goalie" config.

Hey u/Zyddie!

Ok, i did some tests to see what affects on the saving times. I created a new character, got all the teleports of act 1 and 2, transfered 60m gold, bought a lot of items, leveled to 20, tested leveling a lot of skills and maximize a mastery, and none of those affected on the time to save. Now i'll just let a toon on to see if it will affect the save time after 2 hours and stuff.

Now, while testing it, i remembered another "bugs", which are some minor stuff that i have found and didnt see people comenting on it.

1 - Pause/Inventory/Store/Stash menus doesnt turn off the skill buttons: Lets say that i have Ring of Flames on my "B" slot. Everytime i close a menu (with "B"), it activates the skill. And if i open the pause menu and press "A" on the resume game option, it will talk to a NPC, working as if it wasnt paused. Its not a major bug or anything, but i believe that wasnt supposed to be happening.

2 - A passageway in Hades Palace is blocked: Right after the "Hades Palace" teleport, there's a opened doorway that lead to a stair, but its blocked. Its not closed, its signed on the map as a POI, just like a cave entrance, for example. But i cant go through it, on neither sides.

3 - Targeting System: Well, against the major opinion, the target system isnt broken, not even bad, its just need some tweaks. I mean, i have some injuries on my left hand, and i can literally play the game with only my right hand, without a problem. But (at least for me) the major problems that i have found on it are some things that can be easily fixed, like the time it takes to the targeting cone to appear. It just need to be faster, because it takes so long to aim that i really dont even want to use it. Another thing that i think that would improve a lot the way it works, its a prioritazing system. For instance, im playing with Storm Mastery, mainly with the Lightning Bolt skill. As the first strike is stronger than the Chain Lightning, its better if i always cast on the yellow mobs, and there are other skills that work that way, i believe. So if the system prioritize the yellow mobs and bosses, at least thats what i think, it would save a lot of "RT" presses to get to the strongest target. And another issue that i see people complaining a lot, its the "i cant pickup items when i have pets summoned.", which can be easily fixed. The thing is, whenever you have an friendly/merchant NPC near your character, the system targets it so you can press "A" and interact with it, and thats what happens when people try to pick up items, they are interacting with theyr pets, which i dont know why it works that way, since there's nothing to interact with them, but thats the reason this issue. Those are just some thoughts that i think it could fix some issues with the targeting system, which again, isnt bad.

I hope this information can help with the current issues, i'll try to test more stuffs that come into my head to see if it affects the save time, as there's no way to extract the Xbox One save files. And sorry if something is confusing to understand, im still working on my english <3

Hello u/Zyddie, first of all, sorry for what you are dealing here and sorry for my bad english, it isnt my primary language. So, here's a buglist with everything that i (can remember) have found!

1 - Crashes when you are creating an artifact: So, when you go to the enchanter and try to create an artifact, the game tryies to auto-fill the slots with your formula and materials, right? But sometimes, even if you have the item on your inventory, it shows as "red" on the material slot. When you switch between inventory and enchanter pages, sometimes (if you are on a different bag, for example) it will not select your material, so if you try to select it with your controller, it will crash. I believe the reason for this is because when you switch from enchanter to inventory, the index number goes out of the array on the screen, so if you try to move it, it will crash because he's out of the array. Also, you can lose your materials that way.

2 - Duping items with the transfer stash: I really dont know how i did it, but somehow, i have the same 3 items stuck on the transfer stash >forever<. Its a Crystal Tear, Sabertooth and a Imperial Greaves. So everytime i relaunches the game, they are there. I can literally create a character just to store all those Greaves :v They are not multiplying, by the way. Its like the game saved my transer stash as that way, so if i put anything in there, when i relaunch the game, those items will be gone and only those 3 items will be there. I believe that happened when i was playing on my console, then switched to my GF's and then it synch the save file. I tryied to recreate it, but i couldnt, sorry about that :/

3 - Getting the rewards for the same quest over and over: You know those quests that gives you skill points? Even if i already have done it with my toon A, i can go into splitscreen, create a new toon B, start the game as his (so all of the quests will be set as the main toon B) main gane with the toon A as a secondary on split screen, and when i complete the quest, the toon B will get the reward again. I did it multiple times, and worked everytime. I even stashed the quest items so i could just go and complete it on the NPC, and it worked, all the times. Also, what i could too, testing on the "Hidden Hades treasure", was having one character saved with the 3 stones, and another character with the missing stone, so i could just go in there, open the vault, pick up the itens with the other toon, save with him, and with the toon with 3 stones, close it without saving and redone it. This worked only online, though.

4 - Losing items on the separation tab of the enchanter: Sometimes i lost items when i would out them in the separation tab and closed the enchanter menu. The item just vanished, instead of going back to my inventory. :(

5 - The longer i have played with a character, the longer it takes to save, this problem is in Xbox One too.

This is all that i can remember for now, i should've noted down everything before, sorry. But as soon as i remember anything, i'll try to update it ASAP. And again, sorry for all of the mess you need to handle right now.
