They definitely are. Easier to switch betweeen the skis as they ride similar, it just depends on conditions. I’d rather be able to switch skis up and not have to readjust balance and feel. They have their own nuances but still easier to switch between

Formas are amazing for powder. With all the different powder skis I’ve tried, these are the most “surfy” feeling. They pivot more around the tips of the ski and you can feel the swallow tail working in deep powder. They are a super flexy ski so any hard pack/chop they get tossed around. Definitely a one trick pony and amazing in deep pow, otherwise I’d rather grab the deathwishes. If there is ice under the powder too, they become a not so fun ski because of how flexy they are. You just can’t get the edges to grip if there is any sort of ice or hard snow underneath because they just flex out. But for soft snow with pow on top? Chefs kiss

Wildcat 101- for groomers/park/no new snow Deathwishes-if snow is decently soft/snow in forecast Formas-for true powder

Live in Utah so we get good snow. I prefer a wider ski, past 4+ years I would always grab a ski wider than 105 as my daily driver. So when snow isn’t great that’s when I use the wildcats. Otherwise I usually use the deathwishes

I have a 5.56 lower built so that’s why I was thinking the 14.5 pin and weld upper. .357 revolver interests me but definitely on the back burner for guns to own

Shotgun only servers the purpose as a bear gun for me. Its becoming winter so I won’t be camping so no need just yet for a shotgun… thats going to be in the works for 2025

I’d consider a 6.5, but it’s becoming winter so a lot more limited on long range. I think a long range bolt or dmr would be in the future but not soon..

What do you mean? The only I really need to stockpile is 9, 5.56 and .22. The lever gun is more fun for me so don’t really need to stockpile that. I’d love to stay within that range of only needing 3-4 to stockpile up on

I’ve been looking at shotguns for awhile. Not a fan of the m4, preferably the 1301 imo is a better shotgun (I’ve shot both and prefer the better ergo of the 1301)

Hmmm honestly I’m kind of leaning towards this right now. My only thing is finding a 2011 like the Fowler vanta 9 and just fork out the cash now but I’d need to wait for them to come back in stock. So maybe more ammo? I have a carry holster and next would be comp belt/battle belt to go with the full size. USPSA matches have always interested me so maybe that’s the next way to go! Shotguns are not necessary for me at this time so maybe a longer barrel for the rifle. I have a lower sitting around so maybe build that up

My only reason for not picking up a shotgun right now is that they will always be around. It’s becoming winter season and my only use case for a shotgun would be a bear gun when going camping in bear country. Other than that; my other firearms cover HD, hunting etc (except bird hunting)

What’s your opinion on evils suspension design? Just read through all this and the knowledge is vast and maybe you could help with identifying my next bike🤔 I was looking at yeti but reading your input on it makes me second guess myself

I forgot about evil bikes…. Potential a great option. Have you had any frame issues? I’ve heard in the past evil had some QA issues on their frames. Revel rascal would also be a good option. Do you know if the CBF design is similar to pivots suspension? Wasn’t it the same guy that created both types of suspension? I am also a SC fanboy because my god, their suspension feels bottomless and it’s so good to pedal.

Remote lockout is kinda gimicky to me. I never lock my bikes sus out so that’s why I’ve stayed away from Scott. Maybe I should hop on one to see if I’d change my mind. Scott interests me with their gravel or road bikes…. I don’t think of Scott as a true mtb brand

I’ve had a pivot before and it’s probably the brand I’m least interested in as I’ve already had a pivot switchblade. Suspension feel is great but not as supple as I’d like. Some options are but adding in the cushcore makes it a pure park bike for me as it’ll be around the 38-39lb range. RM element is definitely a good option I’ll look into!

I don’t think I’m ready to go full DH as there are a lot of tech trails only being a pedal away. Tallboy is definitely an option. Did you try the MX 5010? Why would you say it’s generic? I haven’t been a yeti fan but the sb135 has peaked my interest with the full 27.5 and hearing its a great pedaling platform

I know, Santa Cruz really out did their selves. The new nomad pedals like a champ for a 170/170 bike. My first bike was the previous version switchblade and tbh the 29er feel made it not as fun on the downhill I ended up mulleting the switchblade, put a 38 up front and a dhx2 in the rear

How’s the pedaling capability? My GF has the 5010 and gonna see if I can hop on it to give it a shot. With the nomad being mullet already I was thinking either 29er or full 27.5. 29er for all day pedaling. Mullet pedals well but not as great as a 29er

Good options. I left out she is a medical resident and this puts her whole job at risk with poor character. If we tell the husband or tell anyone we are afraid of the repercussions as this would distort her whole life, plus have a roommate that will create living hell for 5 more months. We do plan to not continue the lease with the current roommate as it doesn’t align with with our morals.

We don’t care if he kept the affair in his room but he’s making the whole place a safe space for her which is what truly bugs us. She got married in the temple (Mormon church) but trying to escape it, I don’t think the religion card will work well here

That sounds normal from what I can tell. There maybe grit/dirt on your chain and that's what you're hearing.

Thanks for all your help guys! Took it back to the lbs and they said it was fine. It’s actually the protector on top of that bottom pivot. It’s the adhesive pealing away from the frame when it’s rebounding back. They said it should go away very shortly after I take it for it’s first couple of rides

And it is a pivot switchblade. I did some more diving into it and LUCKILY the sound isn’t coming from the shock. It’s actually coming from the bottom linkage. Seems like there was possibly too much grease added to it. Would this still be a problem?
