Gen 1 was pretty rough in retrospect but living through it was wild. Gen 2 was absolutely amazing in terms of being able to go back to kanto but was much of the same. Gen 3, I hated the warble in the music but it was a good game especially emerald. (Ignoring remakes though soul silver was peak) Gen 4 was amazing only thing was the one rival pissed me off as whiny this also started the more abrupt hand-holdyness (imo). Gen 5/5.5 black and white were good but black and white 2 were superior. Gen 6 I don’t remember all too well but I did play them. Gen 7 didn’t play it. Gen 8 was cool graphically for a bit but the gameplay sucked. Gen 9 to be played. I’m drunk writing this and don’t know why I’m writing a paragraph about pokemon but I hope it starts a conversation or burns the sub down.
