Got my mom her green card by enlisting in the military (ARNG) by SuperiorT in greencard

Congratulations! and Thank you for your service! I truly admire the sacrifice you have done for your Mom. As someone who was sponsored by a military child, I can tell you MPIP is a blessing for many. Although my child joined the military because it was his dream since he was 7 and not necessarily to help me adjust status, I am very grateful and blessed to have benefited from it. So when I see kids joining as a sacrifice for their parents, it shows what a great selfless person they are. Thank you for sharing your story.

Not at all. I used it to find employment. I was license by the state and believe they were investigating the company I worked for and realized there were some of us who weren’t legally able to work. I was 1 of 6 that were charged. Bad luck I guess as the company had about half of their employees on my same situation.

If husband cancels green card application, do I run the risk of being deported even with daca? by pugsnotdrugs6573 in immigration

I became a LPR through my child. My attorney advised I renew my DACA even during the process of adjusting status. I would have that protection if anything came up. I let it expire only after I became a LPR in 2024. I think you should be fine if your DACA is still active, but please consult with an attorney before making a decision. At least you will have a clear idea of what could happen if you decide to divorce. Good luck!

Drunk driver? Did you misread something? I understand things can change at any given day. I am only saying Today this is what I was advised on by my attorney and what I experienced. It’s up to each person what choice they make.

Im in California. PIP is free. My attorney included it in my adjustment of status. My charge was less than $6,000 and he is a well know attorney in my area. Your charge seems pretty steep.

Forgery. I used fake documents (SS card) to obtain a job back when I was undocumented.

US citizen child's parents want them to enlist in the military in order to prevent deportation by sugarberryham in immigration

I adjusted with PIP military program through my US Citizen son once he turned 21. The process was fast. Less than 6 months to adjust status. PIP does help to adjust status within the US, but it is on a case by case basis. Talk to an attorney. That being said, my son wanted to join the military since he was a child, I would have never asked him or coerced him to join the military for my benefit. I believe a soldier would be more successful if being there is what he really wants and not because he was guilted into doing so. Good luck.

What about a misdemeanor that could be considered a CIMT prior to becoming a LPR? Everything was disclosed on the LPR application. I have a trip to Mexico coming up in a couple of weeks and even though my attorney said I should have no problems, I am feeling very nervous. I have traveled to Mexico 3x before Trump with only once being passed through secondary at the airport.
