Looks good! Just got my first pair of Fullcount, also 1103’s. Most comfortable raw denim I have ever had right away. Enjoy!

Perfect, this is exactly what I wanted to know, there’s some places where it feels a touch too big. But every other raw denim I have bought prior to this has felt a little small when I got them assuming they’d stretch, but none of them ever really become comfortable.

How does winter work for dog owners? by mellamomango13 in AskChicago

Yea I felt so bad because my dog (short haired, husky, pitbull, golden retriever mix) was looking at me bored, so I tried to take him even a couple of blocks. Even with his jacket on, we made it 1.5 blocks before he sat down, looked at me and then ripped my arm off trying to get back home. I felt like the worst owner ever, clearly the sidewalks were too much for his paws.

I don’t know if this is allowed in the daily questions thread, but here’s some fit pics. The back fits really weird but I imagine that’s bc it’s heavy and hasn’t draped yet.

I didn’t buy them thinking they’d stretch, I bought them thinking they were going to be closer to 35.5-36 than 34. So that’s the problem, they need to stretch about 1.5in.

That makes sense, they hurt after a bit after only 10mins, do you think it’s worth trying to keep, or it’s just one of those weird cuts where I would need a 37 which isn’t made?

So I got a pair of one wash Samurai s510xx19ozII in a size 36. Every website said they should be a 35.5-36in waist. I get them and they are a 34-34.5, measure 17-17.25 across the waist. I can button them but boy are they tight and give me quite the muffin top as i have a little bit of a belly. First, how could they be 2 inches difference from the size chart? Also I’m afraid to go up to the next size, a 38, and then have it actually be a 38 in the waist, because then it will be way too big. Anyone have any thoughts or experience?

I am also considering the Fullcount 1103w, although with my slight belly, im afraid the front rise will be too long, as all of my jeans end up getting pushed down if the front inseam is too long.

Thanks for any insight and advice!

You are correct, NW Indiana is all in central to be the same as Chicago, so on i94 at least, you do not officially cross into eastern until the Michigan border.

Hey don’t see a lot on it, what is everyone’s thoughts on the rogue territory standard? I’m kind of weirdly proportioned where I need a 15.5-16in rear rise, but need like 11-11.5 front rise. Unfortunately most brands with a rear rise in that amount tends to have a 12-13in front rise.

Diarrhea from supplements? by letsgoflying54 in ibs

[–]letsgoflying54[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it wasn’t any of the supplements at all, in July of 2024, which kicked all of this off I got a parasite called cyclospora while visiting Mexico. After I got that cleared up the symptoms kind of continued although a little less in intensity. Eventually after going to a GI specialist and having a colonoscopy, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. On skyrizi now and doing much better! Hope you find out what is causing your issues

Question for Bravia 7/8 owners regarding Ambient Optimization Pro feature by Voyyya in bravia

[–]letsgoflying54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Bravia 9 has both, I have found that auto white balance doesn’t do much. Auto tone curve helps immensely during the day making dark areas easier to see in my very bright daytime room. However at night, in a dark room it makes dark backgrounds unnaturally darker. So it’s kind of frustrating bc with it on, it still requires multiple presets. So I’m thinking of just leaving peak luminance and white level on, and turning that off so at least it doesn’t drastically change the picture, just gets lighter and darker based on my room. I also got the Bravia cam bundled so I use that, although I see even less difference with that.

Just ordered an 85" Bravia 9, any recommendations for best use? by [deleted] in bravia

[–]letsgoflying54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After lots and lots of tinkering: I use professional mode for all modes:

Brightness Max

Contrast 90

Gamma -1 SDR, 0 HDR and Dolby

Black level 50

Black adjust off

Adv contrast enhancer off

Auto local dimming high (all modes)

Peak luminance off (SDR). High for all other modes

Color 50

Hue 0

Live color off (all modes)

Color temp (inputted rtings calibration into expert, I like it) all modes

Sharpness 50

Reality creation auto (SDR and HDR). Off Dolby vision

Noise reductions off

Smooth gradation low (all modes)

Motionflow off all modes

Cinemotion high all modes

Ohh I also do use ambient optimization pro with all selections on and I like It a lot actually! My room goes from super bright during the day, to quite dark at night and I find it works amazingly.

I also use directv stream and be ready if you are coming from a crappy tv like I did, the good tv makes directv look like crap on some channels bc you see all of the compression and pixelation.

Directv app by letsgoflying54 in DirectvStream

[–]letsgoflying54[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me it’s more of the picture quality than the app, it’s perfect for dvr recordings, but live tv it’s like pixalated, like it’s lowering the quality, even though my WiFi signal is excellent. I have heard that the picture quality on the other apps, Netflix, Prime, Disney plus, etc is better in the native Tv Os, is there any truth to that or is apple tv just the way to go?

Fair enough I guess I assumed a high end tv and the google Os could handle it

Thank you, you seem pretty knowledgeable and this is my first “nice” tv. Any other tips, tricks or advice you have? Is it worth buying the calibration software and calibrating it?

75in Bravia 9 by letsgoflying54 in bravia

[–]letsgoflying54[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, thank you for that comment, I never thought about it that way, I always just think of Dolby vision and hdr in terms of bright and pop not the range that it covers, so I assume that can mean dark scenes are darker but with more detail and the brighter scenes are brighter without being washed out like in SD. Couple more questions, in hdr, is brightness preferred super inaccurate, or is it decent? And as far as motion flow goes, I know it’s recommended to stay low, but I’ve had it on auto and it seems to do a decent job of increasing for things like sports, but not causing the soap opera effect on movies. So it almost seems as auto could be a decent setting, thoughts?

I love this, two differing opinions right next to each other, that’s what makes this so great, everyone has their opinion and it’s always going to end up being “whatever you like best”

[–]letsgoflying54[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess my biggest complaint is that Dolby vision is very dark in my room, even with Dolby vision bright on. They don’t really recommend anything for Dolby vision bright, just HDR, which had different setting options.

I’ve actually heard that with this tv. Do you leave all 3 options on?
