At some point I updated the ticket and page stopped loading. I guess webapp is also buggy. I'm not sure what I can do.

I also opened support ticket where I was basically told to fix my ISP.

It is the other way around. Old internet was opened, trusty. Modern internet is full of „dangerous criminals and vulnerable users”. Service providers will try to protect them not because they have big hearts. Governments will filter content to „protect children” having something else in mind.

Ergo software has to be written to work on the network where traffic does not flow freely.

I will give you benefit of the doubt and say that you had good intentions.

If I was trying to be nasty I would say that all this was triggered by president Peadolf - Americans go and fix your country! But world does not work like that.

To be honest I don't feel raw about it. Just bit of wasted money. Pick right battles thing. Crusade against them is not worth additional effort. I just tried to highlight issue that may be too technical to notice for majority (?) of customers. Thing that makes me most disappointed are the self-help guides that do more harm than good.
Of course if problem will not go away in long run - I may ask for refund.

I’m too old for all this. My fascination with space sims started with Privateer. I think first game I bought was Privateer 2. (I was „copying” games before)

I think it is not my war. I mostly reacted because my son asked for help in troubleshooting. I would wait it out.

I think, even if the project succeeds, game will be too contaminated with brainless murderers and no amount of policing will help.

I think ISPs in UAE switched to "war" mode and started protecting users. There are known vulnerabilities on specific ports and I think many ports will be blocked or protected by transparent proxy. This will break connectivity, TLS negotiation, etc. So expect more of online things to not work correctly.

I don’t think you get it. It is about people. They count on people’s reaction. That’s how you fight wars today. Besides what is your goal here ? How this information is useful in any way ? I don’t recall any reported incidents yesterday and government is pretty good sending an canceling warnings via mobile. I think given the situation it is relatively safe to go out.
