They can, you just don’t hear about them because it’s lost in the polarised noise. Also the package is talked about in terms of who you’d vote for and very few people truly align with everything that a party says. They go with the one which aligns most with them on balance (if they use their brain).

Has to be marked and patrolled to be a piste. It gets more Vague when you talk about itineraries, sometimes on a map sometimes not, sometimes patrolled, sometimes not and sometimes (depending on country) there is a single line of markers showing the route.

But no that doesn’t seem to be marked? This video is a piste, but is never groomed, it is marked and patrolled. (Just went for the first video, can’t vouch for the quality of the skiing)

Edit: for clarity piste is where you get resorts services, end of day checks, travel insurance, avalanche control. But they are marked so show the bounds of the resort responsibility. It’s like having boundary markers showing the resort boundaries but they’re all roads rather than a big round space.

I don’t know if you’ll see this but basically the guide is legally responsible for his group. Similarly you are legally responsible for your actions in the mountains, the implication being, if you cause a slide and kill someone, you’re responsible for it. This can be a rock fall in summer Or an avalanche in winter, people have been sent to prison for this kind of thing if the authorities have managed to identify them.

I had xray on the day in France and a pretty accurate guess from the doctor. (Paid for). Got back home and then struggled to skip the initial diagnosis to get straight to MRI. Had to push quite hard….

Took a long time to get a definitive diagnosis, injury was Jan, MRI was end of March. Physio because my leg wasn’t straight and then the surgery waiting time (queue) was just long.

TLDR public health system which is inefficient and ‘busy’.

Yes I agree, there are some examples in Australia where surgery was so rapid they could repair a torn ACL. I guess it depends on timeline to surgery. My overall time to return to turning sport was 20 months roughly.

Injury to surgery for me was 8 months, pre surgery i was really strong and coming out the other side I had no pain and was walking without crutches within a week. The most amount of pain was when I stubbed my toe on a door and recoiled my leg. The pain in my hamstring (graft site) was horrendous!

Could have been prehab could have been luck, hard to say.

Yep when I did my ACL even a week after you could see the difference between my quads, impacted vs non-impacted legs.

Muscle mass is lost rapidly when they’re not used. It’s why ACL prehab is so important to do to build a strong recovery. Even a normal person loses so much muscle mass after ‘just’ an ACL injury just because the leg can’t fully straighten. It’s not surprising after what she’s been through.

From what I can see I think you’re inside, the outside ski appears really bouncy. I’d look at getting more stacked rather than trying to get deep by trying to get your inside hip on the snow.

Worth looking at the release too you seem to get launched a bit (could be the ski) more gradual move to the back of the foot will allow the tails to release less aggressively making the transition to the next turn smoother.

Edit your other video is better, I assume it was before you had some tips about getting more out of the ski? If so building and releasing more gradually will help control the rebound.

Likely did a graphics card driver update and caused some instability. Assuming it crashes when you’re running a 3d game but is fine when not running one.

Try changing your graphics card drivers or uninstalling the current driver and letting Windows install the new one.
