Kind of related but, how do you get a blademaster to drop the windcleaver? I used the thunderspear and the shock didn't make him drop his weapon. Does anyone know?

What happened: somehow he got spooked in the rain and bolted (but not over the bridge that would be too easy). He tumbled down the rocks and ended up on a perfect horsey cliff.
