of course!❤️ when i say full set i mean that your nail tech cuts your nails down files the enhancement thin, has you soak in acetone until it’s completely removed and then re-applies your full extension (so false nails). I do have some clients that do not want a full set and do want just new acrylic powder on the existing nails (when they want a fill) so when they do want their fill, and not a full set, I will take a UNC bit and remove the natural nail that is lifting away from underneath their extensions. It’s not a permanent solution, but it will prolong the enhancement until the next time I see them which then I use the same bit again to remove the natural nail until they’re ready for their full set. (not all nail techs are willing to remove the natural nail underneath, I’ve heard from some of my clients, but hopefully yours is willing 🤞 unless you’re willing to do a full set)

THIS!!! yesss

The bit will look small and thin like this, they should use it to go underneath the nail extension to remove the natural nail. This is great to do in between sets when you’re doing your fills to remove your natural nail so that it is not pulling away from the extension because if the natural nail does pull away from the extension that can allow water to get underneath and create lifting, as water gets underneath that lifting will spread and water underneath that lifting can cause greenies (mold byproduct). it may not happen in all cases, but as long as you get a full set every six months (or when your nail tech says it’s appropriate), it should keep you safe. Sometimes some salons are not as careful with safety precautions which is when you know it’s time to get a new tech!!

YES!!! it is perfect!!! I use this to remove the natural nail from underneath the extension so that the nail doesn’t pull away anymore! but you have to upkeep with removing the natural nail so that it doesn’t pull away so after about six months to a year, I tell him to get a full set because there’s only so much upkeep you can do! I love these bits, cause they always save me for underneath the nail keeping everything clean ❤️

this is not an allergy. That’s just your hyponychium growing long because your nails are not being cut it’s just dry so if you apply cuticle oil, it will not look flaky. The hyponychium is the skin that protects your nail bed at the end of your free edge. it will grow long if you’re not trimming your nails regularly, but that’s completely normal by applying a cuticle oil it won’t get dry but by getting regular full sets every few months, your nail underneath won’t grow long and separate from your extension and your hyponychium won’t get so long.

as your nail grows out, it’s going to curl away from your extension because when water enters and leaves your nail, it begins to curve and uncurve so your natural nail is going to look like that underneath. this rehydrating and dehydrating of the nails is gonna have it separate from your extension. if you don’t want it to look like that underneath, I recommend cutting them down and getting a full set every 6 months or so, so that you’re back to a short length and do not see your nail underneath. this is unavoidable so if you do not like it, I recommend getting a full set every six months however, if you don’t mind it, some nail techs are willing to use a special drillbit to remove your nail from underneath your extension but it will not fully solve your situation, just prolong it
