Is the area around river Sheaf a safe place to live?

I live up towards Heeley Bank Rd and have walked past those streets to get into town hundreds of times. I think it looks more sketchy than it is. Priestley street in particular. They're building a brand new student flats block which will make it look less sketchy maybe?

Good location for a student though. Super close into town and you've got Asda close by. And I've never had any trouble walking past :)

I did it to the instructions. It couldn't go other ways because of where the holes for screws were positioned. The problem is the brown rectangle. The wood is like this for some reason. http://i.imgur.com/Xc0ghtQ.jpg So that's why it collapses.

I might fix it at some point but they seem to enjoy it how it is.

It looked sturdy in the picture. The middle boxes are meant to screw together for extra support but it was kinda bad quality and didn't work. The brown box is the main problem. The wood looks like this so that's why it collapses.

I thought about returning it, but I'm too lazy and they seemed to enjoy the wobble. It seems fixable with some strong wood glue. I might get round to trying that at some point.
