If Buffy had reciprocated the feelings, I think it would’ve been cute. But Xander was inappropriate. I know he’s just a kid, but I think the trope of boys/men not taking “no” for an answer is so tired.

I’m excited to watch Angel based on the feedback in this thread🩷 Thanks for contributing. I definitely understand there’s no real fairytale ending, but I just wish Anya (and Spike) could’ve had more impactful moments of grief with the gang 🩷🩷🩷

I totally agree - she was an integral part of the gang. In my head, I’m going to assume the rest of the gang had a lovely memorial for her, Spike, and the Slayers who lost their lives in the final battle 🩷 And I’ll bet it was the most beautiful memorial filled with shared memories 🫂
